Specify custom par(mfrow()) layout for defined plot()
Dear R Users,
I am doing stats::decompose() on 4 different time series. When I issue
csdA <- decompose(tsA)
plot(csdA)
I get a summary plot for observed, trend, seasonal and random components
of decomposed time series tsA. As I understand it, the object returned
by decompose() has it's own plot method where mfrow(4,1) etc. is
defined. Now suppose I wanted to wrap those mfrow(4,1) into

nproc parameter in efpFunctional
Hello all,
could anyone explain the exact meaning of parameter nproc? Why different
values of nproc give so different critical values, i.e.
meanL2BB$computeCritval(0.05,nproc=3)
[1] 0.9984853
meanL2BB$computeCritval(0.05,nproc=1)

Questions about results from PCAproj for robust principal component analysis
Hi.
I have been looking at the PCAproj function in package pcaPP (R 2.4.1) for
robust principal components, and I'm trying to interpret the results. I
started with a data matrix of dimensions RxC (R is the number of rows /
observations, C the number of columns / variables). PCAproj returns a list
of class princomp, similar to the output of the function princomp. In a
case where I can

strucchange Fstats() example
Dear all,
I'm trying to understand how the strucchange package is working and I have been looking at the examples given for the Fstats() function.
The first example (Nile), shows one peak in the F-stats and one breakpoint is estimated, that can be plotted using the following code
## Nile data with one breakpoint: the annual flows drop in 1898
## because the first Ashwan dam was built
