Would Xiph be interested in a logo redesign for Vorbis?
So, in a thread on HA a user asked if some logo was the official one for Vorbis. It turned out not to be, but everyone agreed the official logo was ugly and a bad idea to add on any portable player compilant with Vorbis (or other Ogg media for that matter).
The chaps, me included, started a discussion of a redesign, but truth be told, if Xiph isn't interested in a redesign, there's no

It works with one more change on top of your patch:

Fixture accessors broken for polymorphism, in need of redesign
Ticket 4052 (http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4052) just came through
trac, which introduces the need for a better way to access fixtures. I
believe the basic problem is the same as 3935
(http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/3935) in that the accessor method
which is constructed by the fixture call can''t infer the class name
from the table name. The band-aid in 3935 was to allow you to

Dsync Header Hashing
Is there any way to disable the header hashing in dsync?
I'm doing a one-time migration to Dovecot using imapc. The FETCHes for
Date & Message-ID take a non-trivial amount of time and it's not clear
to me if they have a function for a one-time migration.

cluster with dsync mirror
I have an idea for running a pair of redundant dovecot mail servers
that may be odd but it might work. I'm interested in any thoughts on
the topic.
Would it work to run 'dsync mirror' every minute against either mdbox
or sdbox mailbox on a dedicated network connection between two (or
potentially three or four) mail servers? I'm trying to avoid using a
NAS/SAN or some other

digium.com redesign
I may be way behind here, but I see that digium redesigned their site.
I cannot find the mailing list search screen.
I have found the mailman list page, but that doesn't have have a nice
search ability.
Do I need to just rely on google and other generic search engines or is
there a search on the digium site?
Thanks!

dsync-local(user): Error: proxy client timed out
Hello,
I have an intermittent but frequent problem using dsync backup. The
command outputs:
dsync-local(user): Error: proxy client timed out
Then dies with exit code 75. Any subsequent attempts to re-run the
backup invariably fail like this:
dsync-local(user): Warning: Destination mailbox INBOX has been modified,
need to recreate it before we can continue syncing

more on Diablo II (wierd problem)
Ok, I do have Diablo II working, mostly. At the moment, it only works
under TWM (not fvwm which is what I normally use) and only in -win
mode.
The problem is that the first time that my mouse leaves the diablo
window, diablo iconifies. Not a major issue, I just have to make sure
that it's before I start playing. HOWEVER, after it's de-iconified,
the keyboard get's somewhat screwy. I

Bugpoint Redesign
On 6/11/19 12:25 PM, Philip Reames via llvm-dev wrote:
At the moment, bugpoint has three major use cases: crash reduction, miscompile reduction, and mutation fuzzing. Out of these, a huge proportion of the interface complexity comes from the miscompile handling.
I generally agree with removing the auto-detection logic. I've found it to be extraordinarily error prone and confusing.

RFC: LLD symbol table redesign
Hi all,
This proposes a redesign of LLD’s symbol table in order to improve memory
locality by minimizing indirection when resolving relocations. The key idea
is that we perform symbol resolution by overwriting SymbolBodies, rather
than by updating pointers. This is based on some ideas mentioned by Rafael
on IRC.
Conceptually, we split Symbol into a non-polymorphic part and a polymorphic
part (a

dsync 2.1.10 does not correctly handle renames of mailbox subtrees
Hi,
It seems that dsync 2.1.10 does not correctly handle renames of mailbox
subtrees. The scenario is as follows.
There are two servers, A and B, both running dovecot 2.1.10 and configured
to use mdbox. Automatic replication between them is disabled, ie.
replication plugin is not active and replicator service
has process_min_avail = 0. I perform the following actions:
1. On A: doveadm mailbox

Dovecot dsync mail replication issues
Hi,
I'm trying to set up some dsync based replication between two hosts on
my network. The current topology is a single server running Postfix
with a single dovecot installation with a Maildir per user (only 4 users
including myself). No NFS, just local system users on ext4. I am only
using system users, ie no virtual users. I am using dovecot deliver to
deliver mails into the

Duplicate mails with pop3 + dsync replication
It turns out that if I enable this option:
pop3_deleted_flag = "$POP3Deleted?
The issue no longer persists. I have to manually expunge the kept mails that have been deleted via pop3 though:
doveadm expunge mailbox INBOX KEYWORD '$POP3Deleted' -A

redesign R.css for HTML help pages
Hi,
I feel the CSS definitions for the HTML help pages are not visually
appealing enough. I admit this is a very subjective matter, so I don't
have strong arguments for this wishlist, although I wrote my version
of R.css with some web design instructions in mind (e.g. use
browser-safe sans-serif fonts).
Anyway, here is what I've done:

Hey all,
I wanted to share a proposal
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/171ecPTeXw68fbCghdGw_NPBouWvmvUX8vePlbhhHEdA/edit?usp=sharing>
to revamp the current go-to IR debugging tool: Bugpoint. i'd love to hear
any feedback or general thoughts.

Expire plugin / expire-tool redesign for doveadm
Expire plugin / expire-tool seems annoyingly inflexible currently, so I
was thinking about a more generic redesign:
The expire plugin keeps track of the oldest message in configured
mailboxes. Its only configuration is the list of tracked mailboxes.
There's no configuration like what the expire timeouts are or anything.
There will be a new doveadm command:
doveadm expunge [-u user | -A]

Squat full text search indexer redesign
I was writing this to beta9 announcement, but it grew so huge that I
guess a separate mail is better. :)
I've spent quite a lot of time this last week redesigning/rewriting
Squat indexer. I think the redesign is good enough now that I'll just
replace the existing squat with this new one in next release. I don't
think many people are using the old squat, and there are also some bugs

R with CouchDB?
Hello all,
I'm kind of surprised that searching the archives and Googling haven't given
me a result for this...
I've got a large amount of data that is a good fit for CouchDB; it's
reasonably unstructured, and such structure that exists is quite fluid. I
want to slice the data in many different ways, some of which really don't
fit well with a relational database model. I

Samba Website Updated and Redesigned
If you haven't been to samba.org in the last few hours, it's time to
take a look. Much has changed. The Samba website has been completely

This version of the Samba website has a striking new look and features
XHTML markup and a CSS-controlled layout. In addition to these changes
to samba.org, the Samba Team is pleased to announce the creation of

doveadm + dsync merging
doveadm already supports some nice things, such as being able to remotely launch a doveadm command via TCP socket. It also supports executing a command for all users or to some specific users using a wildcard. dsync could use these features, so I merged dsync and doveadm into same binary for v2.1.
I'll still install "dsync" symlink pointing to "doveadm", and running that
