unknown users
Hi, can anyone tell me where these "unknown users" come from. As far as I see the fact, dovecot is asked by postfix to look for the password of the recipient-user (why ever). +++ Jan 7 19:43:09 f42252se postfix/smtpd[14625]: initializing the server-side TLS engine Jan 7 19:43:09 f42252se postfix/tlsmgr[14627]: open smtpd TLS cache btree:/var/lib/postfix/smtpd_scache Jan 7 19:43:09

doveadm proxy password
Hi, I'm configuring a proxy host to connect to backend servers. As proxy is done based on an LDAP attribute of the user, I'm not using director. In the proxy server I have configured: doveadm_port = 24245 doveadm_password = secret And in the backend: service doveadm { inet_listener { port = 24245 } } local <mynetwork> { doveadm_password = secret }

lmpt director and ldap userdb
Hello, I've been using dovecot for a long time, but now I'm having troubles with I change I need to make. I have a director server in front of two backend servers. All of these servers are running dovecot 2.1.16. Redirection to backend servers are based in an attribute of a ldap server. My users are defined in this same ldap server. At this moment, for user authentication we use

Why does dovecot tell Error: passwd-file(...)failed: No such file or directory?
My bad. Userdb does not support scheme keyvalue, just remove it. Hi! I'm playing with a postfix + dovecot + mysql test setup, and noticed something strange. Trouble setting replication over TCP
Good day, everyone. I'm playing around with replication to create a backup host. I have hosts backend3 (192.168.100.112) and backend3-replica (192.168.100.113). backend3 acts as a mail-receiving host, backend3-replica is a backup for the case of failure. Both versions are 2.2.13 (form Debian Jessie repository). backend3 receives mail via LMTP-proxy. So far I've managed to setup

NTLM failures with an interesting twist
This is a tired old topic but I've at least got an angle on it: Outlook Express works perfectly with IMAP / SPA for users logged into our Windows domain; I just give the server address and username, and it logs in without any password required; beautiful! auth_ntlm_use_winbind = yes auth_winbind_helper_path = /usr/bin/ntlm_auth auth default { mechanisms = ntlm userdb static { args =
