Another issue I don't understand: On two different samba servers, smbd logs errors like this: Feb 16 18:36:29 roberts smbd[136]: process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/business failed. This bug report can be closed.... The Problem was an error in mapping user and group ID to the LDAP UID/GID! I have set the right UID/GID in the smb.conf with uid map = 10000-20000 gid map = 500-600 -> no errors in config!!
