Bug#588406: fix for missing XEN_SCRIPT_DIR
I had another look at this and found the source of the problem - the reason why XEN_SCRIPT_DIR is not set: The hotplugpath.sh file is missing in the package. In the "rules" file the "install" target includes this line: $(MAKE) -C $(BUILD_DIR)/tools/hotplug/Linux install-udev install-scripts UDEV_RULES_DIR=/lib/udev/rules.d The problem is that make is never run in the

Bug#588406: A full year without a fix?
I can confirm this bug still is in squeeze... a full year after being first reported, despite the fact that it includes the fix?. I can also confirm that the workaround proposed here works, although I am not sure that it's the best possible solution, maybe it can be set in some confoguration file, bit if so, I have benn unable to find it. AFAICT, XEN_SCRIPT_DIR is a compile-time option,

Bug#695221: confirmed bug, serious
control: severity +2 serious I would call this an RC bug (serious), but not critical It would be critical if the user lost data from some unrelated application, etc It is serious because a) it makes the package and the whole system unusable for all but one very specific network configuration (users with a /24) b) using good old `xm' style Xen I never experienced any issue like this,

Hello, our dovecot server crashes totally without any really useful log messages. The error log can be found in the attachment. The only way to get dovecot running again is a complete system restart. chan_mobile with Nokia 6021 - incoming SMS causes call to drop
Hello, I'm Using Asterisk 1.8.11.0 on Debian Squeeze. I was experiencing problems with ${SMSSRC} being blank, so I applied this patch: https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/secure/attachment/42026/sms-sender-fix.diff but otherwise everything is standard. As the subject says, if I am making a call through the phone when an SMS is received, the bluetooth connection drops and the call ends. The

Bug#588406: xen-utils-common: /etc/xen/scripts/block not driving helper scripts; XEN_SCRIPT_DIR not properly set
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Severity: normal After upgrading xen-utils-common from 3.4.2-4 to 4.0.0-1, I could not create a guest domain defined with a DRBD file type. The xm create command would fail with "Error: Device 51713 (vbd) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.". After some research I realized the /etc/xen/scripts/block-drbd helper script was

doveadm dump ignores .pvt
While debugging a different problem, I used "doveadm dump" to show information about a maildir folder; it happily reported values from dovecot.index and dovecot.index.log (confirmed by strace): [...] messages count ........... = 978 seen messages count ...... = 967 [...] However, mail clients reported different values, I guess because the Seen flags were actually stored in the

PXELINUX: Menu + Machine dependent default kernels?
Hello, up to now I have been using plain pxelinux with symbolic links (IP or MAC-Address) to the machine dependent defaults. Upgrade from 2.1 to 2.2 on Debian
Hello, I am currently running Dovecot 2.1 on current Debian and need to upgrade to 2.2 to use the replication features. I understand that I therefore need to compile Dovecot myself. I am using a MySQL database for users authentication, therefore I need to compile Dovecot with mysql support: *./configure --with-mysql* Unfortunately this terminates with: *configure: error: Can't build with

xen-utils-4.1, pygrub, xvda1, "Boot loader didn't return any data!"
Hello, xen-utils-4.1's pygrub is unable to boot VMs from a partitionless blockdev that has grub installed in first sector. I'm not sure it deserves a bug report, although it is kind of a regression from 4.0. Long story short: zeroing first sector of domU's boot blockdev fixes it. Maybe some of this report would be useful in the wiki, if someone else has the same (odd) setup. --- The

Segfault in managesieve with "sieve_extensions = -redirect"
Hi! I've got a segfault in managesieve while using: sieve_extensions = -vacation -reject -spamtest -virustest -enotify -redirect The problem seems to lie in "-redirect". Reason for excluding "redirect" from sieve is my users should not use sieve to forward or redirect mails but use an external method (web-script to set LDAP attribute) which checks several things like

fixed / floating point
I've noticed that the nb decoder uses floating point in several places even when using FIXED_POINT. I don't have to deal with lost packets, so I'm mainly interested in innov_gain and pgain in no transmission mode (nb_celp.c around line 1272) and g and exci in vocoder mode (around line 1557). Is there a reason that these places must use floating point, or would it be possible to
