Logistic regression/Cut point? predict ??
I am new to R and I am trying to do a monte carlo simulation where I generate data and interject error then test various cut points; however, my output was garbage (at x equal zero, I did not get .50) I am basically testing the performance of classifiers. Here is the code: n <- 1000; # Sample size fitglm <- function(sigma, tau){ x <- rnorm(n,0,sigma) intercept <- 0 beta

Updated Cray patch against openssh SNAP-20010725
This patch fixes my botched attempted to patch deattack.c. I created a bsd-cray.h file and cleaned up a few error cases in bsd-cray.c. Fixed cray_setup call to pass uid and login name in session.c and moved its call so that its called with root privs. Its been tested on a irix, sun, aix, unicos(SV1) and unicosmk(T3E) systems. If you are building this on a T3E you may have to edit the Makefile

Cray patch against openssh-SNAP-20010802
Significant changes since last patch. Deleted patches to packet.c and channel.c - not needed. Add small patch to sshd.c and openbsd/ssh-cray.c to disable cray process privileges. Depending on how a cray unicos/unicosmk system is configured user could su to root without a password with out this mod. Add no_sco flag to noop check for -lrpc which assumes that their was a -lyp library.

R in batch mode packages loading question
Hello, I use R in batch mode. Each time, I execute a script, R is loading each packages I need in my script. That's Ok But, I had to execute many scripts , and each time R is re-loading the corresponding packages, which take to much time Is it possible ask R to load the packages only once, and stay in memory in background for further scripts, which would avoid to load the packages in

constrained optimisation in R.
i want to estimate parameters with maximum likelihood method with contraints (contant numbers). for example sum(Ai)=0 and sum(Bi)=0 i have done it without the constraints but i realised that i have to use the contraints. Without constraints(just a part-not complete): skellamreg_LL=function(parameters,z,design) { n=length(z); mu=parameters[1]; H=parameters[2]; Apar=parameters[3:10];

configure.in fixes for 2.9.9p2
configure.in patches for 2.9.9p2: 1. Allow --with-pcre to take a path specifying the root of the PCRE install (ROOT/include, ROOT/lib) 2. Ditto for --with-zlib 3. $no_libnsl and $no_libsocket can be determined programmatically 4. Check for innetgr, getspnam, and util in the default $LIBS before checking in -lrpc, -lgen, and -lutil, respectively 5. dirname() is in -lgen on some

2.9p1 patches
1. Add support for files >2GB via Paul Eggert's AC_SYS_LARGEFILE macro. This macro is now part of autoconf 2.50. Because of this, "config.h" needs to be included before system headers to get the appropriate defines for LFS support. openbsd-compat/sigact.c configure.in acinclude.m4 2. AIX defines TILDE in <sys/ioctl.h>. Rename to TILDE_CHAR. Feel

[PATCH]: Fix configure.ac to allow linking against PCRE on Cygwin
Hi, the current configure.ac file contains an unfortunately static setting of $LIBS when the host system is Cygwin. It always adds -lregex to $LIBS before the --with-pcre setting is evaluated. The later adding of -lpcreposix -lpcre doesn't work correctly since it follows later in the link order. The following patch changes that. The static $LIBS setting in the Cygwin case doesn't

Testing Call
Ok.. I'm starting official testing calls early this release. I'd like to have more feedback and more time for handling fixes. If people could test snapshots (http://www.openssh.org/portable.html, pick your favorate mirror and select snapshots directory) and report failures it would be useful. For those with pmake install there is regress/ which you can try out. It may help any platform

Using -lssh as shared library
Hello! This is my first post to this list... ;) I'm not shure if someone will be interested in this topic. For me, it has interest, as long as I maintain 100+ unix (linux) servers with dialup access and every package update cost some significant time to download, so package size is somewhat important here. I looked to openssh and realized that package consists of several programs, all uses

Executing code changed with LLVM
Hi everyone, *1.* I had a file called server.cpp that i can run using: g++ -o server server.cpp -lrpc -ldl -lpthread *2.* Converted the file into LLVM IR, modified it and saved to file using the WriteBitcodeToFile function. The name of resulting file is "output". *3.* Used llc command for generation of "output.o" file as: llc -filetype=obj output *4.* Used gcc command to

REGRESSION: New "megatec" driver does't work for UPS that was managed by old fentonups driver
Hi there, A couple years ago, I had patched the "fentonups" nut driver to allow it to work with my Unitek Alpha 500 UPS. My patch had been accepted and incorporated in the standard fentonups driver. I have had no time to stay involved in the "nut" project since (and besides this I'm not a developper...). 2 days ago I upgraded from Ubuntu Gutsy to Ubuntu Hardy and got

configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. This patch works on Solaris

[PATCH] lib: Prefer tirpc for XDR, and rationlise how we search for alternatives.
glibc in Fedora is currently configured with `--enable-obsolete-rpc', so I guess we can see the way the wind is blowing. (1) This changes our configure script to prefer libtirpc if it is available. If libtirpc is _not_ available then: (a) Headers must be located in <rpc/xdr.h>, or the user must supply the right CFLAGS. (b) XDR functions must be located in one of -lportablexdr, -lrpc,
