Dear all, since yesterday our samba PDC did "loose" his master status within our LAN for the domain "SRG" - since then windows boxes did not "see" the logon server anymore. nmblookup -T -M SRG is reporting some of the windows machines (one box running since more then a year...). - net rpc join -S SRG -U root (on the PDC works) - net rpc join -S 192.168.123.202

Hi there, i have 2 samba servers (1 with ver 3.0.0-15 - will do an update soon - other with 3.0.2-7.FC1) both installed on Fedora 1.B and my problem is that for some reason one of them (3.0.0-15 to be exact) stops every day a few hours after everybody goes home. Parenthesis are not yet a good idea with Samba. A colleague created users with parenthesis in CN field and we just can't use ldbsearch to look for them, as long as we set parenthesis in LDAP filter.
