maximum matrix size
I am now getting the occasional complaint about survival routines that are not able to handle big data.?? I looked in the manuals to try and update my understanding of max vector size, max matrix, max data set, etc; but it is either not there or I missed it (the latter more likely).?? Is it still .Machine$integer.max for everything??? Will that change??? Found where? I am going to need to go

Help with Error: POSIX collating elements are not supported
Hello, I hope this is the right place to get help fixing an error when using Markdown on our servers. I'm not sure what our webmasters have done, but a recent change (perhaps to PHP?) made our Markdown text disappear from the page because of an error. PHP Warning: preg_replace_callback() [<a href='function.preg-replace-callback'>function.preg-replace-callback</a>]:

Dovecot vs.Clients - strange behaviour, diagnostics sought
I've been experimenting with dovecot-1.0-stable on Solaris. Storage format is mbox. Dovecot, in test, runs in parallel with an UW IMAP, with dovecot running SSL-only on port 994. It seems to work to some extent: * dovecot runs * authentication works * SSL works * all manual IMAP functionality checks seem to work fine However, I'm running into issues with IMAP clients. * Null

Covert list of list to dataframe for export or outputting by(test) output
Greetings, I am running a buch of wilcox tests and need to be able to rapidly export the results into a csv file. I have attached example code as well as my attempts to get what I need. I have tried unlist, cbind, rbind etc but I am obvously missing something simple. FYI I am actually running about 50 WRS tests per dataset, this is just an example. Thanks 10^6 Mike AKCCR <-

Postfix , Dovecot & the Spam fight
Hi, I'm currently busy with a substiution of my current mail server. I'm currently using * Clam-SMTP and * SpamAssassin to fight Spam. I wonder if it is worth implementing AmaViS with SpamAssassin backend instead and also using AmaViS to speak to clamd directly. But I more and more wonder wether AmaViS is even worth it?! It currently looks to me as if AmaViS is eating LOTS of

Spam, fail2ban and centos
Been working on my anti-spam centos mailserver for a while now and thought I would share fail2ban's help. I installed fail2ban a few weeks back. It was tough to get it working properly but pretty much working now. Although it works fine for brute force, I thought I would run it pretty tough against spammers. I started with a regular mail server, my old one, that is horrendously pounded

Update on spam, postfix, fail2ban, centos 6
I have been using centos 6 in a virtualized system for a few months now. Took a while to batten down the hatches with postfix, rbls, and to use fail2ban correctly. The mailserver for my website(s) are located on the http server as well..an 'all in one' server. DNS servers are separated. My two sites, and their emails addresses (1 for each) have been around for 10 and 15 years

Postfix and choice of RBL
Hi, I'm managing several mail servers running CentOS 7, Postfix and Dovecot. SpamAssassin is filtering mail nicely, but I'm considering using RBL (blacklists) to take some load off the servers. General question to those of you who use RBL. Which lists do you recommend using? Cheers, Niki -- Microlinux - Solutions informatiques durables 7, place de l'?glise - 30730 Montpezat Site :

Powercom black knight 800AP (serial)
Hi, Nut versions: 2.2.0 and 2.0.2 (powercom -x type=KIN1500AP -x linevoltage=220) I've got the above mentioned serial UPS and have found some problems using it. 1) under linux 2.6.12 select() timed out on reading the serial port in NONBLOCK mode. Not sure about this one, seems most likely a kernel problem, since it's working OK in 2.6.20. But on the other hand it was a nasty one. For

Does this help a little? https://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/r-release/R-ints.html#Long-vectors One thing I seem to remember but cannot find a reference for is that long vectors can only be passed to .Call calls, not C/Fortran. I remember rewriting .C() in my WGCNA package to .Call for this very reason but perhaps the restriction has been removed. Peter On Tue, Oct 2, 2018 at 9:43 AM

grepping and splitting (with R 2.1.1)
Hi R experts I have the following regular expression problem. I am writing a basic corpus retrieval program, i.e. a concordancer/function where a user enters - a set or a directory of text files to search; - a regular expression to search for in these files. I want to provide an output in which the matches of the regular expression are listed in one central column and the neighboring columns

r-project.org address blacklisted by anti-spam software
Dear List: An e-mail mentioning the r-project.org address and sent to a friend at a German university was considered spam by the local spam filter. Its reasoning: the URL "r-project.org" is blacklisted at uribl.swinog.ch resp. at antispam.imp.ch. I checked the list http://antispam.imp.ch/swinog-uri-rbl.txt [caution: long list] and indeed, there it was. Can anybody explain how or
