fatal error prevents multi-line functions or loop to run
Dear all,
I have written some function that can go up to many lines. Two of the lines
give warning errors like:
Error in print(....)[c(1, :
error in evaluating the argument 'x' in selecting a method for
function 'print': Error in ...
regions with no neighbours found
now obviously this kind of error will halt the execution of the function. I
tried *try()* or *tryCatch()*

the code any time that I run it.
The code consists of EDA and spatial regression and

DNS problem
Hello,
Today I restarted the firewall machine during an outage of the ADSL line
overhere. At the boot Shorewall did not start but stopped during start.
The problem was that the ADSL line was down so no DNS server available
to resolve hostnames. I have a hostname in "blacklist" file and
therefore shorewall did not start. Is this problem solvable without

[libc-dev] How about add webassembly/wasi support in llvm-libc.
Somehow I wish not all parts of a libc but parts that can be provided
without a JavaScript wrapper for .wasm can be provided from llvm's libc
(leaving a stab implementation for the rest like file system). I've put
together a minimal libc on [1] so using a 26kb .wasm binary file one can
decode both PNG and JPG using this [2] simple to integrate JavaScript code,
can be easily ported in other

fit.mult.impute() in Hmisc
I tried multiple imputation with aregImpute() and
fit.mult.impute() in Hmisc 3.8-3 (June 2010) and R-2.12.1.
The warning message below suggests that summary(f) of
fit.mult.impute() would only use the last imputed data set.
Thus, the whole imputation process is ignored.

I have been crashing R while using lattice. My system consists of a Mac
Intel, R 2.5.1, lattice 0.15-5, and I plot through the default quartz.
R crashes after plotting several lattice functions. Has anyone else
encountered this problem and does anyone know the cause, or a solution?
Is this a lattice:mac, lattice:quartz, Lattice:me issue?

multi-comparison of means
Hi all:
I have a question about multi-comparison.
The data is in the attachment.
My purpose:
Compare the predicted means of the 3 methods(a,b,c) pairwisely.
I have 3 ideas:

TukeyHSD(result_aov)

survexp with large dataframes

I would like to capture the expected survival from a coxph model for
subjects in an observational study with recurrent events, but the
survexp statement is failing due to memory. I am using R version

My objective is to plot the fitted survival with the Kaplan-Meier

Preserving seconds fraction in PG timestamps when updating?
I have this code:
Link.find(params[:id]).toggle!(''active'')
Before it, its timestamp is:
2005-11-20 20:45:48.741973-07
After:
2005-11-20 20:45:48-07
Why does Rails take it upon itself to truncate the
seconds fraction? How can I get Rails to not change
it?
Thanks,
csn

fraction [a] a partitioning of variation
Hi,
After performing a multiple linear regression,
I am looking for an R package that can calculate the fraction [a] a
partitioning of variation. This fraction measures the proportion of variance
of y explained by the explanatory variable x1 (for example) when other
variables (x2, x3 ...) are held constant.
Thank you in advance for your help
