Cannot start Amnesia nor Penumbra via Steam
Greetings! First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who are spending their time into making Wine what it is, and better! I would offer my help if I had the ability to actually do something, but I have yet much to learn, but in the future, perchance... Anyways! A few days ago, I thought I would play some Penumbra: Overture. I have played it before, so I was a bit surprised as it

Aion 2.5.0.x on Sabayon 6
Guys I'm making this post because the wine tests details section get truncated but most of it was for Sabayon users: ---- -What Works- PvE, PvP, menu's etc... I was getting pretty good frames too depending on where and what I was doing between 30-90FPS I would say average PvE around 70FPS and in cities with PvP between 30-60FPS. Amnesia - The Decent running very choppy
Hey. I'm new to Linux based operating systems. A friend of mine introduced me a year ago and I finally decided to try it so try to bear with me here. The problem I've been having is that I've managed to get Amnesia to work under the latest Wine version (1.3.31) but the game is really choppy. I've tried messing with the Wine configuration and the in-game configuration but it

CentOS 5, gnome-screensaver and password amnesia?
I've built some CentOS 5.5 64-bit systems straight off the DVD, full installs, and the Gnome screen lock (manually invoked or automatically via the gnome-screensaver) does not allow the user to unlock the screen. The only fix appears to be ctrl-alt-F<1 - 5> then have the user log into the tty session, type pkill -f gnome-screensaver, log out, then ctrl-alt-f7 to return to X. These

Win2k: Could not find network path
Hi there I have a LAN with a Linux and a Win2k Computer, using DHCP to connect via Cablemodem to the Internet. So, we don't have fix (private-) ip's. We receive them via the DHCP-Server when starting up the Computers. Now i've setted up samba on my linux (Suse 8.0) computer to share some files (Via NetBIOS on Win, i think). With my current configuration i can see all my shares

Custom Mail Directory for some users
Hi list, I'm new on this mailing list and I'm kind of stucked at the moment. I managed to get Postfix and Dovecot working together with Amavis, OpenLDAP und SASL on Ubuntu Linux Release "Dapper Drake". The Dovecot version shipped with Dapper is 1.0-beta3 (at least, that's what the package database tells me), I also tried this with a Debian Backport of version 1.0-rc15.

"@LIBICU_CFLAGS@: No such file or directory" during libtool command for lib-fts (cross compile)
Hello, I am a complete newbie to dovecot, but do have reasonable experience in compiling Unix/Linux software. I am currently trying to do a cross-compile of dovecot-2.29.1 to be used on my home office Thecus NAS (host: Thecus kernel 2.6.33 on 32-bit Intel Atom: "i686-nptl-linux-gnu"; my build machine has Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS) "from ground up", i.e. I need to build and

encoding to fixed window length vorbis file
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I want to encode wav file into fixed window length vorbis file. I don't know if "window" is good name for that, but i mean MDCT buffer size. This buffer is passed to mdct_backward() as "in" and it's size is determined by "init->n" variable which is also passed to this function. So, when I say "window

Weird OpenGL problems
Hi, I have been a happy Wine user for a few years now, but only recently moved from x86 to amd64, and I think that is the source of my current problems with Wine. I'm able to run native OpenGL applications just fine. Examples of what I've tried are Quake 3, Blender, and Kobo Deluxe. Wine also works normally just fine. I'm able to install applications, run notepad, regedit, et

Problem when excluding unreadable files via pattern and using --fake-super
Hey, I am experiencing a problem when excluding files that are not readable by the user on the source side. rsync version is 3.1.1. on debian jessy. Here is a "minimal" example: # preparation: $ mkdir -p source/subdir $ touch source/subdir/ignored_file $ sudo chown root:root source/subdir/ignored_file $ sudo chmod 600 source/subdir/ignored_file $ mkdir

Hotplug scripts not working
Hi all, I''d like to know if it''s possible to have more verbose output when running a block-prefix script. Other than xend.log. To be more specific I''d like to use bash -x to see why I''m running into the following error: > # xm create -c host.cfg > Using config file "host.cfg". > aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff > Error: Device 51712 (vbd) could not be

[RFC PATCH v1 0/3] Introducing ARM SIMD Support
libvorbis does not currently have any simd/vectorization. Following patches add generic framework for simd/vectorization and on top, add ARM-NEON simd vectorization using intrinsics. I was able to get over 34% performance improvement on my Beaglebone Black which is single Cortex-A8 based CPU. You can find more information on metrics and procedure I used to measure at

Samba 3.0, fuse-hdfs and write problems
Hi folks, I research at the moment a connection over fuse and samba for hadoop-cluster. Its my private playground, but I have some issues I can't figure out why they happen. I use RHEL5.7, packetlist: rpm -qa|grep samba samba-3.0.33-3.29.el5_7.4.x86_64 samba-common-3.0.33-3.29.el5_7.4.x86_64 2 servers, one provides samba-shares and one I use as client. login passwd not masked in remote command modus

My login password is visible when I use the following command: arioch at server ~ $ ssh arioch at 192.168.0.1 sudo tail -f /var/log/messages; exit Password: ********** (user - masked) Password: my_not-so-secret-anymore_password (root - not masked) -tail output- This has been tested with openssh on OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Gentoo/Linux, all

NSD incorrectly logging DNAME as refused?
B.t.w. I've created a PR for it that resolves it (see https://github.com/NLnetLabs/nsd/pull/346 ), but we may need to discuss if and how to resolve it first. First I'd like to know if your configuration is similar in that the CNAME or DNAME target does contain an allow-query list. Package lattice: levelplot for matrix method produces images with blank lines ...
Dear R-users, I am trying to produce a levelplot of a matrix of values (430x430) using "levelplot" from lattice package. My problem is that I am not able to obtain an image without blank/white lines in some rows and columns (a continuous image). Attached are two png files (different resolution) showing the problem. Is it possible to obtain "continuous images" as with the
