Hi,
I have just started to get dovecot list messages which I had not been
receiving until today. How can I opt out (again)?

Bug#658100: xl: hangs in qemu-dm when trying to run PV domU
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.1.2-1
Severity: normal
Hi, I was doing some experiments today with XL TOOLSTACK,
and found few problems when trying to do PV domU boot.
I was trying to run kfreebsd9 or linux-3.2 kernel in qemu using PV i386,
and with simple configuration without any disks, nics or virtual framebuffer,

Linus "praise" for Xen

Nuno Silva mentioned:
The good people at Cambridge made a (very nice) VMM that exploits
ring0/1/3 to let one machine run various kernels independently (the
kernels need to be ported to the xen arch).
Xen itself executes in ring0 and the "guest" operating systems
execute in ring1.

Hurd boot difficulties.
I am working with multiboot module "mboot.c32". I have had luck using it to
boot NetBSD and the Hurd kernel. The problem with booting the Hurd kernel
is apparently connected to the extended syntax passed along to it by grub.
Grub passes Hurd kernel approximately 4 files, some of which are modules,
and another ten (or so) boot arguments, which correspond to those modules
and kernel. The

mixing dovecot and non-dovecot access to mail
Hello,
I have recently installed Mailscanner/postfix for the mail server and
dovecot for (mainly remote) access to email (via T'bird etc. and/or
Webmail). Most users still use text mail clients (mutt, pine, some still
old elm) while in the office. These clients access mail (both incoming
at /var/mail/ and users' private folders in ~/Mail) directly.
I wonder whether this mixing of dovecot

GUK (enhanced MiniOS) released
I am pleased to announce the release of GUK (Project Guest VM
Microkernel), which is an enhanced version of Mini-OS that underpins the
Guest VM virtual machine. Guest VM is an implementation of the Java
platform, written almost completely in Java, running directly on Xen.
Although GUK was developed specifically for Guest VM, it can be used
stand-alone in a similar way to Mini-OS.

I''m glad to announce that I have mostly finished a port of GNU Mach to

Sadly the remind password button / unsubscribe email button click and claim
to send me a email but they don't.
Assume its due a high mailq with the amount of messages that need to go out?

How to unsubscribe
As pointed out already by several emails before,
a) mail to dovecot-unsubscribe at dovecot.org (which will unsubscribe instead of temporarily disable delivery)
b) go to https://https://dovecot.org/mailman/listinfo/dovecot and click unsubscribe, don't change your delivery options to notmail.

The ppc32 distro will work on any NewWorld G3, G4 based machine ( and
32bit ibm power, like the older rs6k's ) - it _also_ works fine on the
MacMini and G4 Xserve's.
With some common sense tweaks, a G4 450Mhz is a very

tc filter problem with 2.4.22
Hi,
I have a problem with ''tc filter'' on a 2.4.22 kernel from Slackware 9.1
distribution.
The tc command binary is from htb3.6-020525.tgz
(http://luxik.cdi.cz/~devik/qos/htb)
I''m trying the following command sequence:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 1 r2q 1
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 1200kbit ceil

unable to send mails via postfix/dovecot SASL
Hello,
I have a freshly setup postfix/dovecot mail server (after a server
upgrade I decided to change my sendmail/popper conf to something more
modern :)
It mostly works, there is no problem in sending/receiving mails in local
network, both using text clients like mutt or pine dealing with the
incoming/outcoming mail directly. Also dovecot works fine with SSL
authentication from the outside

Centos 7 guest - long delay on mounting /boot with host disk write cache off
Hello,
I've noticed a strange delay while booting a CentOS 7 guest on a CentOS
7 host with slow disks (7200RPM) with write cache off.
The guest and host are freshly installed Centos 7 (host was fully
patched before guest install). Guest is installed on an lvm pool
residing on an md raid1 with two SATA 7200 RPM drives with their write
caches off.
The delay is on mounting /boot, the dmesg

Extracting files from OVA is bad
Hi,
recently we (oVirt) have started discussing whether the way virt-v2v
handles import from OVA files is good. And I would be interested in
ideas how it can be improved. It is likely somebody already gave some
thought to this problem.
TL;DR: Extracting the OVA before import is a problem for large VMs (in
sizes of TBs). Can we change something to prevent the extraction and
work directly over

SSH and file descriptors
Let me start with "I am not sure if problem I describe is really ssh
problem" so excuse me in that case.
I've needed to make a login shell wrapper for one of users (an example
below) to my own script:
<script>
#!/bin/bash
ls -la /this_does_not_exist /etc/passed
</script>
(shebang with -l or -i does not affect the problem)
Real script does not matter, this example
