Asterisk V10, SIP MESSAGE fails for unknown reason, missing DNS-lookup?
Hi,
I'm using SIP MESSAGE to asterisk V10 and it fails to be received.
I'm not super sure of the reason but I'm making this guess:
Due to I'm using non ipaddress in the to field, which contains sip:mobil1.xyz.com, Asterisk makes the mistake to try matching this name "mobil1.testserver.com" in extensions.conf and no extension/peer is found in the sip-message context

is res_timing_timerfd module stable in 1.8?
hi:
my current system is 1.6.2. I have dahdi hardware card. I must
disable res_timing_timerfd module or sometimes phone calls would
become silent suddenly.
I don't know the situation in 1.8. I heard that timing is still a
problem in 1.8. should I keep using "res_timing_dahdi" or I can use
"res_timing_timerfd" to get some benefit if I upgrade to 1.8?
thank a lot for

asterisk 1.4.32 have zapata.conf soft link to chan_dahdi.conf to use

There is no entry ChanSpy(Zap/41) in extensions.conf
On dialing 304 and Zap/41 is in use this happens:

State of the application chan_spy
Hi all,
I read on serveral pages that chan_spy is not part of asterisk anymore
as on http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cmd+ChanSpy on the bottom
of this page.
I have a testing server with debian-testing and debian packages for
asterisk installed. In the modules directory /usr/lib/asterisk/modules
is a app_chanspy.so already there. The currently installed version is
1.4.13.
So, it is

Hi all
Sometimes (about every three months) some of my Asterisk 1.8 boxes will

Copying received and sent RTP packets due legal obligations
Hi,
I am facing a problem where for legal obligations (LI) I have
to copy/mirror/forward the RTP streams for some selected call
to an external address/port and I have not found a way to do
it with built-in functionality. Do I miss something?
The basic requirements are:
* Raw RTP (no transcoding, header and payload as is)
* Direction (did it arrive at asterisk or was it sent)
* End

problems with 1.6
In an attempt to fix problems with EAGI delays in 1.4 (see my other
message for more on that), I've tried upgrading to 1.6, in case it's a
bug that's fixed in the newer version.
Unfortunately, I'm having all kinds of trouble with this new install. My
system relies on conferences, and whenever I add any channel to it
(adding a SIP connection, playing an audio file, activating

asterisk and Hyper-V
Thank you for a quick answer, Dmitry!
We have tried the settings you suggested but nothing helped. The machine is
running 4.4.0-104 kernel, 4 cores, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @
2.40GHz, clocksource is hyperv_clocksource_tsc_page, timing module is
res_timing_timerfd.so. We have also tried to set 50% Reserve - no luck :(.

Everyone we have a few new things to give back to the asterisk community.

These include app_chanspy, the ability to spy on ANY bridged call taking

asterisk-users Digest, Vol 69, Issue 16
Hello All:
I saw there are app_fax and app_chanspy modules in 1.6.2.6, but there is NO
sample configure file for them.
Is anybody know how to use them, or where is the documentation for them?
Thanks
