I'm running dovecot-1.2.11/Maildir. The user 'doveimap' shares his mailbox folder/subfolder to the 'dovepop' user which should see it in the '#shared' shared namespace at the following

feature or bug on delete?
RFC 3501 mentions this: The DELETE command MUST NOT remove inferior hierarchical names. For example, if a mailbox "foo" has an inferior "foo.bar" (assuming "." is the hierarchy delimiter character), removing "foo" MUST NOT remove "foo.bar". It is an error to attempt to delete a name that has inferior hierarchical

Question about dovecot 2.2 and LIST command
I am running dovecot 2.2 changeset 16983:d925674c4329 on AIX. We use mbox files with the "/" delimter. I have an imap protocol question. When I do: 1 list directory1/ * 1 OK List completed. \Noselect missing after deleting mailbox
Hi, With mailbox_list_index enabled (which is the default), Dovecot won't return \Noselect when LISTing a mailbox that was deleted but still has subordinate mailboxes. Shared folder prefix listed multiple times with dovecot 2.1.1
Hi, after upgrading from 2.0.18 to 2.1.1 I noticed that I could not use shared folders with mutt anymore. 2.1 lists the shared namespace prefix once per user sharing an folder in LIST "" "%". I also noticed, that with 2.1 the user folder (Shared/<username>) is no longer tagged as \NoSelect. Is this the intended behaviour and mutt simply cannot cope with it or is it a

'r' flag in ACL stomping on 'l' flag effect
We're using Dovecot 1.0.3, and I'm setting up some shared IMAP folders. The eventual goal is to do the standard "learn as spam" / "learn as ham" type of setup, with some cron jobs to do the message extractions. But there's one minor twist: the "learn as ham" folder will need to be write-only for users. (I'll either create a fake user with read

Sharing user folders doesn't work when users have periods in names.
I am using period as an IMAP separator with Maildir directories and I cannot share folders where the user has a period in their name.
