How to connect to console of domain on PowerPC?
Hi, I tried to use libvirt to run KVM/QEMU on Freescale PowerPC platforms. So far there's only one serial device (spapr-vty) defined in QEMU to work as console for IBM PSeries platform. There's no serial device support in QEMU for Freescale PowerPC (ePAPR). libvirt/src/qemu/qemu_command.c /* This function generates the correct '-device' string for character * devices of each

New samba 4.1.3 install - Access denied when publishing or editing file share on server as domian admin
My first attempt at using samba. Replacing an ancient win 2000 server. The server and clients are all new.. no upgrading from old domain. Installed on Ubuntu server 13.10 following the wiki (followed recommendations). Things have been just working which is great but I've run into my first issue when trying to publish a share to AD. My understanding is this should work but I'm unsure

spurious domian login problems
We have a few win9x workstations, that have spurious login problems. They get the message: No domain server was available to validate your password you may not be able to gain access to some network resources. The passwords are definetly correct and the problem will sometimes disappear after 5 - 10 retries, but almost always after a full restart of the win9x PC, very occasionally it takes as

How to attach USB disk to specified USB controller in domian?
Hi guys, I want to attach a few USB disks to specified USB controller in domain on libvirt layer, but I didn't find any method to deal with it. Anyone can help me on that? I added some USB type disk to my domain, started it, I found all USB disk had been attached to same USB controller automatically, I want to assign some USB disks to another controller manually but I can't find the

Where does "cmd" initailize in qemu_command.c?
Hi, Excuse me, I have a question when I reading the libvirt source codes. I have known the process of how libvirt start/manage qemu, since I need to write a driver based on libvirt. But one thing also confused, please give me some tips. 1. In qemu_command.c, there is a function call "cmd = virCommandNewArgList(emulator, "-S", NULL);", which

I'm sorry, you're absolutely right. I'm not sure why I didn't follow your hint. My fault. Now, it seems I have exactly the same output as you: [root at dc private]# net rpc rights list accounts -U Administrator Enter Administrator's password: BUILTIN\Print Operators SeLoadDriverPrivilege SeShutdownPrivilege SeInteractiveLogonRight BUILTIN\Account Operators

Failed to find DC in keytab, gpupdate fails
Hi, you're right about kvno. kvno dc gives me: dc at DOMAIN.NET.PL: kvno = 1 I'm pretty sure I didn't change dc$ password nor keytab wasn't recreated (the file is from 2015). I've checked other DCs. It looks like two of them with CentOS 7 have kvno = 2, and one with CentOS 6 has also v 1. DCs on CentOS 7 are pretty new, with samba version 4.7.4 from the scratch. Main DC

Try verifying kvno from the client that gives the error message. That kvno = 2 for dc$ must've come from somewhere. You can also double check e.g. via ADUC ldap attributes of the dc$: lastpwdset and kvno. If  kvno is definately 1 that means that client connecting has some error, if it's 2, than it means that dc has outdated keytab. And if it's the former, than I really am not sure

Error message doesn't make sense
Hi everyone, I incidentally configured two IDE controller for my machine-1.2 VM(it might be virsh attach-disk to blame), and I got the error message "Only a single IDE controller is unsupported...". I can't understand this error message, I think it means I HAVE to configure two or more IDE controllers until I looked it up in the source. At libvirt-1.2.22/src/qemu/qemu_command.c:

Unable to rejoin domain, LDAP error 50
I've cleared all DNS records (indeed, they were still there). I'm not sure if that was the issue, cause I've discovered that the real problem is related to insufficient Administrator rights. I was able to join that DC to domain using credentials of my second user (member of domain admins group). The first one had to get out from Domain admins. Can this be related to fixing the

Failed to find DC in keytab, gpupdate fails
what is the output of "kvno dc.domain.net.pl"? There seems to be mismatch kvno of the secrets keytab, and what is client expecting (kvno 2). Kvno increments by 1 for every password change. Was there by any chance password change for the dc$ account and keytab was not recreated? If You made some upgrades, maybe during process You for example rejoined the domain (that would set new

Hi, Setting dc's IP on top of resolv.conf file, as you suggested, didn't help. Perhaps there's something else I could try.
