R.oo installation warnings?
I got the following warnings when I install R.oo. Are these warnings
normal? Should I reinstall the package as mentioned in the warnings?
How to reinstall? The sessionInfo() is at the end.

First call to constructor fails (R.oo)
Hi all,
I'm trying to do some object-oriented programming in R using the R.oo
package.
Right from the start I encountered a strange (at least for me) problem. I
define a new class/constructor based on the R.oo documentation.
However the first attempt to create an object fails:
=== Code: ===
library(R.oo);
setConstructorS3("MyClass",function(param) {
print(param);

'For each file in folder F do....'
Hello,
I have 2700 text files in a folder and need to apply
the same program/procedure to each individually. I'm
trying to find how to code something like:
For each file in <Folder> do {<Procedure>}
is there an easy way to do this? other suggestions?
I have tried to list all the files names in a vector
e.g.
>listfiles[1:10,1]

How to write a function in a graph
Dear R-ers,
I conducted a regression analysis, and then intended to add the regression function (y=4.33+1.07x) in a graph. But the following code can only give me a text like y=a+bx. Who can help me out? Thank you very much in advance.
CODE
# Read data
x <- c(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)
y <- c(6, 5, 8, 9, 11, 10, 11, 12, 15)
data01 <- data.frame(x, y)

Interesting split-brain...
I am new to gluster but already like it. I did a maintenance last week
where I shutdown both nodes (one after each others). I had many files that
needed to be healed after that. Everything worked well, except for 1 file.
It is in split-brain, with 2 different GFID. I read the documentation but
it only covers the cases where the GFID is the same on both bricks. BTW, I
am running Gluster 3.10.

Difficulty testing an SSD as a ZIL
Hi all,
I received my SSD, and wanted to test it out using fake zpools with files as backing stores before attaching it to my production pool. However, when I exported the test pool and imported, I get an error. Here is what I did:
I created a file to use as a backing store for my new pool:
mkfile 1g /data01/test2/1gtest
Created a new pool:
zpool create ziltest2 /data01/test2/1gtest

Compile Packages under Windows and CHM
Hi,
I have been developing a small package. It install under RedHat Linux
9.0 without a problem. However, I have a small problem under Windows
XP. I am using R-1.8.0 on both systems and HTML Help Workshop
4.74.8702.0 on Windows XP. I created the package under Linux.
When I try to install the package created under Linux in Windows XP
using
c:\rtest> rcmd install rtest

I'm not looking for an answer here, this is just a report of a
peculiar event I've observed
and can reproduce.
I'm developing a g95 (20050129) compiled package on windows xp pro
using R-2.1.1, and gcc-3.4.2 (mingw special). An older version of the
F95 package compiled and ran without problems. The new version of the
package includes extensive changes in the code.
The package has a

Compiling "embedding R" examples
Hi,
I am working at a major financial institution and we would like to embed R in one of our front office application.
The application is written in C/C++ so I started by trying to compile the examples in "tests/Embedding" of R 2.0.1.
I have modified "tests/Embedding/Makefile" according https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2005-February/064341.html

Interesting split-brain...
Hi Ludwig,
There is no way to resolve gfid split-brains with type mismatch. You have
to do it manually by following the steps in [1].
In case of type mismatch it is recommended to resolve it manually. But for
only gfid mismatch in 3.11 we have a way to
resolve it by using the *favorite-child-policy*.
Since the file is not important, you can go with deleting that.

Can you please explain How we ended up in this scenario. I think that
will help to understand more about this scenarios and why gluster
recommend replica 3 or arbiter volume.

To all TextMate users that wants to run tests with cmd + r in Rails 2.1 and above.
Because the require ''test_helper'' at the top of all the tests is
relative now (it used to be something like require ''../test_helper''),
you can''t just run the file with ruby anymore. And running the file
with ruby is exactly what command + r does. Which means you can''t
easily run your tests from textmate.
The solution:
