Dsync & random delete problem
Hello, I've updated my home mail server with dovecot 2.0.11 with idea of using dsync to synchronize two master servers (one at home behind an ADSL connection, and another in a DC with a gigabit connection). Dsync is launched every minutes by a cron job for each hosted mailboxes (in Maildir format). Obviously, a lock prevents to launch more than one dsync process at time. On a test mailbox,

dsync replication errors
Hi I'm trying to build a cluster of two servers with dsync replication (based on http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication). My test setup works fine for very simple tests, I can log in to both servers, copy a message to one of the servers and it successfully apperars in the other account. But, if I try to copy a large amount of messages at once to one of the accounts, my maillogs get flodded with

dsync-2.2.2 incorrectly synchronizes subscription status of deleted mailbox
Hi, It seems that dsync-2.2.2 doesn't correctly synchronize subscription status of a deleted mailbox. The situation is as follows. There are two servers: A and B, and a test user test_mdbox. Mailboxes (mdbox) of this user on both servers are synchronized. Specifically on both of them there is a Trash/x mailbox. Replication plugin is disabled. I delete Thrash/x mailbox on A with

Timo, I use mdbox and probably have similar issue, but in my case only shared mailboxes were affected. 2.1.x changes and dsync -- Wiki suggestion
There are a couple things that show up on the Upgrading/2.1 wiki page that would be useful to have on pages describing dsync (Tools/Dsync, Migration/MailFormat, Tools, perhaps others): * dsync was merged into doveadm * You can't dsync 2.0.x to/from 2.1.x That second point is especially "interesting" to me as it seems that Apple MacOS X Server is still on 2.0.16, at least from

bootstrap bca confidence intervals for large number of statistics in one model; library("boot")
Sometimes one might like to obtain pointwise bootstrap bias-corrected, accelerated (BCA) confidence intervals for a large number of statistics computed from a single dataset. For instance, one might like to get (so as to plot graphically) bootstrap confidence bands for the fitted values in a regression model. (Example: Chiu S et al., Early Acceleration of Head Circumference in Children with

[PATCH] xen/console: introduce a 'w' debug-key that dumps the console ring
This patch adds a new ''w'' debug-key, chosen from the limited remaining keys only due to its proximity to ''q'', that dumps the console ring to configured console devices. It''s useful to for tracking down how an unresponsive system got into a broken state via serial console. Signed-off-by: Matt Wilson <msw@amazon.com> diff -r bd953fda6106 -r

dsync to move from 1.2 to 2.0
I'm not certain of the correct syntax for this - and I'm reluctant to risk my live data by experimenting. I've setup a 2.0.2 server on a virtual machine, and I want to copy a live account over to it for testing. Not that it should matter, but the 1.2 machine is using maildir and I want to give sdbox a try on 2.0.2. I'm assuming (dangerous, I know) I should run dsync on the

While you're around, Timo :-) I've had such an issue recently with 2.2.18, using Maildir, where emails were being replicated circularly creating more and more duplicate copies.

Replication: long detalys
Hello everybody, I am running dovecot 2.1.7 on Debian Wheezy on two servers with replication set up, MTA is postfix. The idea is to have a redundant mail system so that when one server fails, users can continue using the other server (failover of POP/IMAP through DNS redirection). Servers are called srv06 and srv07: Below is the dovecot config, both servers have identical config, only the
