Help need
I have mad a for loop to try and output values which i have named spectrum. However, I cannot seem to get the answers to come out as a vector which is what i need. They come out as separate values which I am then unable to join together. Thank you

complex numbers in library function (PR#1737)
Full_Name: Alex Deckmyn
Version: 1.5.1
OS: Linux Mandrake 7.0
Submission from: (NULL) (193.190.63.62)
A short function in a library contains the complex number -2i :
phihat <- function(x)
{
x+ (-2i)
}
If i read the source file with source("phihat") this works fine. If I include it
as
a function in a library and read it with library(test), the function is still

need help with errors in betareg analysis
Hi
I'm trying to fit a model in betareg and I'm getting errors, but have no
idea what they mean or how to solve them. Does anyone have experience with
this?

Question about glm using R
Good morning,
I am using R to try to model the proportion of burned area in Portugal.
The dependent variable is the proportion. The family used is binomial
and the epsilon would be binary.
I am not able to find the package to be used when the proportion (%) has
to be used in glm. Could someone help me?
I am using normal commands of glm.. for example:
glm_5<- glm(formula=p~Precipitation,

R Help
Hi,
I have a polynomial of 2n^2-5n+3 and I have my n values going up in powers of 2 i.e. n=2,4,8,16?..
I wanted to fit this curve to the function A*n*log2(n) +B*n where A and B are to be found.
How would i do this?
Thank you

betareg help
Dear R users,
I'm trying to do betareg on my dataset.
Dependent variable is not normally distributed and is proportion (of condom
use (0,1)).
But I'm having problems:
gyl<-betareg(cond ~ alcoh + drug, data=results)
Error in optim(par = start, fn = loglikfun, gr = gradfun, method = method, :
initial value in 'vmmin' is not finite
Why is R returning me error in optim()?

(Devise+Omniauth) Adding a port number to the callback URL patch applied but not working with openid
I was facing problem reported in issue # 101 (https://github.com/
intridea/omniauth/issues/issue/101) and able to resolve it by
suggested code (mbleigh on January 12, 2011) in environment.rb
However, open ID is still not working. (As mentioned in fix too).
Can someone please help to resolve this or any workaround ?
regards,
Jaymin
