Dovecot 2.3.9 - lmtp crashes with Signal 11
Hi Aki, first thanks for the quick fix. Unfortunately, it only resolves the issue partially. For the ?To: undisclosed-recipients:;?, it works now. For ?To: ? it still crashes (i. e. what I did with my manual lmtp dialog). Michael > On 13. Dovecot 2.3.9 - lmtp crashes with Signal 11
Hallo Aki, the affected code location seems to be concerned with parsing to ?To:? header. I checked all the mails causing the crash, the To: header is either empty (but present) or contains ?undisclosed-recipients:;?. I checked this manually and sure enough lmtp crashes: nc -C -U dovecot-lmtp 220 keira.mike2k.de Dovecot

Dovecot 2.3.9 - lmtp crashes with Signal 11
Hello, since the upgrade from 2.3.8 to 2.3.9 (using the Ubuntu 18.04 packages from dovecot.org), lmtp crashes for me for some mails. Currently I have three pending mails in my postfix deferred queue since the upgrade a couple of days ago. I did not observe these issues with 2.3.8. The backtrace from one of the coredumps: Reading symbols from /usr/lib/dovecot/lmtp...Reading symbols from

fts_solr does not quote lucene's special characters
Hello, I am using Dovecot 2.2.19 with the solr backend for full text search and experience the following issue. When I issue a search that includes characters that are part of lucene's query syntax (e.g. the double quote character), dovecot does not escape the special characters and issues a request with invalid syntax to the solr server. For example, I search for foo"bar, then

Hi, I am using dovcot on a Fritz!Box (Linux fritz 2.6.19.2 #1 Fri Apr 18 16:00:34 CEST 2008 mips unknown) And after upgrading from 1.0.9 to 1.0.15 I am getting above assertion, when I do some action like moving or deleting on the IMAP mail box using MailDir on ext2 fs. I use --with-ioloop=epoll and --with-mem-align=4 as build configuration. For dovecof configuration see below details. Thanks

setacl fails - does not find dovecot-acl file
Hi, I'm using dovecot 2.0.13 that ships with Ubuntu 11.10. I tried setting up a shared namespace as documented in the wiki to enable the sharing of a mailbox between two users. I have a Maildir(++) directory for each user. Each user has a system account. The Maildir of each user is owned by the user's system account and group read/writable by the group mail (hence

Dbox group file permissions
Hi everyone, I feel like I am missing something obvious here. I have dovecot up and running and every piece of mail is given user read/write permission. I see the option mail_gid, but I do not see anyplace to set the group permissions. I see the below wiki talking about new home directories getting their permission from the parent directory, but this does not seem to work. Any

extraneous mail folder created
I'm trying to set up dovecot on a Fedora box for about 5 users, I have a raid 5 array that is used for home folders etc mounted on /home, and I've created a directory /home/mail, which I have used a sym link to map /var/mail to. I've created folders for each of the users with relevant permissions and edited the dovecote config with:- namespace private { separator = / prefix =

Multiply mailboxes vs one huge
Hello, as I need to store a lot of messages on my IMAP server (order of 900K-1000K; this is an archive for some time, maybe a year or so), I see some "slowness" in dealing with such a huge amount. I mainly need to do searches like "get all messages from user1 at domain1.com to user2 at domain2.tld recieved between date1 and date2". So I really interested will it be wise

Shared Mailboxes Not Visible
OK, gurus, I've spent the last 2 days crawling through all of the posts and web postings regarding shared folders, and I simply cannot get it to work. I'm sure that there is something simple that I've overlooked, but cannot for the life of me see it :) Here's my current config: # 2.2.9: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 3.16.0-46-generic x86_64 Ubuntu
