login via Samba 4 LDAP
Hi
I've rfc2703'd the Samba 4 LDAP for a user e.g. steve4. I can search the

SASL/GSSAPI authentication started
SASL username: steve4 at HH3.SITE
SASL SSF: 56
SASL data security layer installed.

Samba 4 krb5.keytab confusion
Hi
I have Samba 4 installed and working. I recently changed FQDN to dns
name hh3.hh3.site. It works OK and e.g. on a windows 7 box which joined
the domain, users can logon. But I have a mess in the keytab:
klist -k /etc/krb5.keytab
Keytab name: WRFILE:/etc/krb5.keytab

samba 4 and nfs permissions
Hi
We have AD users created with either samba-tool user add steve2 or using
the windows AD frontend from a windows box.
Users are created with home directories under /home/CACTUS
On a win 7 client all works fine. Users can authenticate against the
CACTUS domain and files are created with the correct uid:gid
We joined an Ubuntu client to the domain using likewise. /home from the
server is

Samba4 primaryGroupID attribute
Hi
Coming from Linux, I'm struggling my way through this stuff.
e.g. on my domain, the group suseusers has a SID of:
S-1-5-21-1463437245-1224812800-863842198-1128
Could anyone give me a yes/no/probably/absolutely-ridiculous on any of
these?
-User steve has a primaryGroupID: 1128
-steve is a member of suseusers
-suseusers was the 128'th SID to be allocated
-given only the SID above, you

windows and nfs4 acls
Hi everyone
We're really struggling with nfs4 <--> windows acls.
Scenario
Samba4 share --> cifs --> win7. No problem
Samba4 share --> nfs4 --> Linux. acls not inherited
Neither is there inheritance vica versa.
e.g. It is not possible to create files with group rw on a umask 0022
nfs4 share. nfs4_setfacl cannot override umask. Using POSIX or windows
acls this works

AEC learning behaviour
Perhaps you could add a warm-start to the AEC, such that the parameters
start near the correct values on all but the first use?

Migrate GPO policies does not work properly.
Hi,
I migrated from my the main domain controller.I use Centos 7 server with
tranquilrepository.
The destination server is a test enviorement with different domain name
but the same system specifications.
I can browse the sysvol network share without any problem.
If i want to check the sam.ldb file on the test server I got these errors.

Hi
After upgrading to

for krbtgt/HH3.SITE at HH3.SITE

nfs4 with Samba 4
Hi everyone
Version 4.0.0alpha18-GIT-bfc7481
openSUSE 12.1
Conventional nfs4 export works fine, but I'm having trouble kerberizing
it for Samba 4 for my Samba 4 users.
I've setup the nfs4 pseudo stuff like this:
hh3:/ # mkdir /export
hh3:/ # mkdir /export/home
hh3:/ # mount --bind /home /export/home
Here is /etc/exports:

AGC on a phone conversation
I have a recorded conversation from an analog trunk. As usual one side
is stronger that the other one.
In my case, the gap between signal levels are even bigger.
How does speex AGC preprocessor will perform on this type of audio
recording?
Maybe I am wrong and AGC is not really what I need to equalize the two
persons in my phone conversation?
As I Understand, AGC will perform better if each

Migrate GPO policies does not work properly.
Hi,
I successfully migrated my GPO policies in a new installation of domain
controller.
After I joined a Windows 10 machine to the domain the gpupdate /force
command printed this errors all of my policies.

On the server side everything looks fine. I checked the tdb files under
the /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb.d/ folder.

SAMBA4: pdbedit not changing SID
Since I don't seem to be having any luck with the classicupgrade, I
decided to try starting from scratch and then adding users.
I ran the command:

--dns-backend=BIND9_DLZ
Then I tried both adding and changing users. In neither case can I

Automatic purging of old email in all mailboxes
Forgive me, I'm a novice. Consider that today I have already set up a
working postfix + Dovecot server with userdb using the static driver and
passdb using a password file (in the format <username>:{hashing
algorithm}<password hash>). The Dovecot server has several mailboxes which
are already in use today.
I understand that I'll need to change over to using the passwd-file
