Production server migration from mbox to maildir ( need advice )

Dovecot + managesieve + Roundcube

FreeBSD tuning for a dovecot + postfix server ?
Hello I've googled around to tune a bit my mailhub ( AMD64 FreeBSD 8.1, 12 Gb RAM, 2 Tb raid5 disks , ~4000 mailboxes unix users ) but I am a bit confused, All my clients use thunderbird as MUA ( IMAP, IMAPS ) to connect to the mailhub no direct access to the machine. Any of you guys has some pointer to give ? thanks a lot

Migration to Dovecot

IMAP subfolders and MDBOX
Hello We actually use MBOX format on our mailhub but this does not permit to create IMAP subfolders. Many users are asking me fot this feature and I agree with them of course. Problems with thunderbird 3 ( messages mark unread after being read )
Hello Since we upgrade all our users's PC with Thunderbird 3(.0.1) many of them have a problem with email that move back to unread status even after they have read them. The problem does not occured with Thunderbird 2 Is this problem Dovecot related ? Do you have the same trouble ? Thank you

troubles with 1.1.8 and squirrelmail over HTTPS
Hello I noticed a problem after upgrading to 1.1.8 Users that access to their mailboxes using webmail squirrelmail and HTTPS using HTTP seems to work correctly but it not safe enough ... There is an error message saying the imap server send a BYE command ... I downgraded our Dovecot server to 1.1.7 then it works again ... Temporary forbid some users login ?
hello is there a way to forbid SOME ( not all ) users's login with dovecot 2 ? I need to move their IMAP folders to another place with more disk space but I don't want to stop dovecot IMAP service for the other users as the moving process will be a bit long ( 1 Tb to move ) thanks

Convert UW folders to Dovecot folders ?
Hello IMAP users here have a *lot* of folders living in their mailhub home directory Converting the INBOX doesn't seems to be a problem I've found scripts that do the job :-) But How to convert IMAP folders from UW format ( one file / folder ) to dovecot format which seems much more sophisticated. Moving from MBOX to Maildir or DBox ?
