Is Winhlp32.exe supposed to work or not?
I anybody using winhlp32.exe with Wine? I am using wine-20020327 without Windows. I have copied winhlp32.exe to wine-c/windows directory and try to start the program there. When I try to run "wine winhlp32.exe" it opens a window and immediately closes it. So far I have tried Win95, Win98 and Win2k versions of winhlp32.exe with the same result. Jarkko Lavinen

Is samba supposed to change file permissions ?
I have set up samba-1.9.18p10 on Sun Solaris. I have created several shares and whenever a user edits a file it gets set to permission mode 0744, regardless of what it was before. The file permission can than be changed from windows using file properties. To avoid this extra step I added a create mask = 0655 to the share definition. Now the files get created with the correct permission,

Why isn't "<Domain>\<User>' = to <User> on PDC? Isn't it supposed to be?
When I access my PDC, via a unix service, from a Domain client with a domain login, the PDC attempts to validate <Domain>\<User> against the the authentication DB, but on a mounted file system, a user on the PDC = '<domain>\<user>' ... (which is what I thought it should be). But if I use 'ssh <Pdc>', it authenticates as user 'Domain\User'

How are you supposed to remove faulted spares from pools?
We have a situation where all of the spares in a set of pools have gone into a faulted state and now, apparently, we can''t remove them or otherwise de-fault them. I''m confidant that the underlying disks are fine, but ZFS seems quite unwilling to do anything with the spares situation. (The specific faulted state is ''FAULTED corrupted data'' in ''zpool

What the Administrator RID 500 is supposed to be able to do?
Hello. I have a samba PDC using an LDAP backend and everything is working perfectly. I'm using debian sarge as server with samba 3.0.14a and have populated the LDAP backend with smbldap-tools (smbldap-populate). I have readed the chapter 14 of TOSHARG, where it explains about privileges, I can assign privileges and use them but not have understood the part that says something

Is gnome-devel-docs supposed to work with devhelp?
I just installed gnome-devel-docs with the objective of having a local copy of the gnome hig-book and now that I have it installed I don't know how to use it. I had assumed that it would show up in devhelp but it doesn't. What I have is a bunch of XML files in /usr/share/gnome/help/hig-book/C, and when I try to view one with firefox it tells me "This XML file does not appear to have

Is ArrayRef supposed to be immutable?
It seems like ArrayRefs are supposed to be immutable ( However, as far as i can tell, the iterators are defined wrong to make this true. While ArrayRef<int> Foo(Something); Foo[0] = 5; will give a compile time error. something like: ArrayRef<int> Foo(Something); std::sort(Foo.begin(), Foo.end()); Will work fine. Is this expected? (FWIW: I expected this to only work with a
