Problem with the use of domfsfreeze mountpoint option
Hi everybody, I am having a problem with the use of domfsfreeze command. It is freezing all the filesystems present on the domain, instead of freezing just the mountpoints provided. I am issuing the command-- # virsh domfsfreeze <domain> --mountpoint <mountpoint> Output was-- Froze 3 filesystem(s) I want to freeze a particular mount point on the VM, so that i can take a

6.2 install fails on HP 6200pro (Intel Q65X chipset).
CentOS 5.6 x64 installs successfully on HP 6200pro SFF box with Intel Q65X Express chipset (including HD graphics), Core i5 and added NVS300 graphics card. Actually, it works great. HP lists "RedHat Enterprise x64" as a supported OS. The 6200pro is a "business desktop" that became available in early summer 2011. CentOS 6.2 x64 install halts during initial boot, with boot

Custom install DVD with new (SB600 chipset & Intel network) kernel modules
First, congratulations on the fabulous CentOS Wiki. About the only information that I haven't found on it is how to create a custome install DVD with added kernel modules -- e.g. when the standard install DVD does not support the motherboard chipset (SATA drives & network cards not recognized, for example) and network card. I have an AMD ATI motherboard with SB600 chipset. When I tried

Sharing a caching NFS mount with samba?
I am trying to set up a caching link between two points, that can be shared with windows and *nix. In both locations, I have linux-based servers with data, which have caching NFS mounts (that is, mount -t nfs -o fsc, with cachefilesd). These mounts are working correctly and I have tested the cache locally to much success. What I have not been able to get working is sharing those mounts with

stability of using scheduled workers
Hi, Going through the archive, and just keeping a general watch on this list seems to indicate that there are some issues using scheduling with backgroundrb. I need a worker that will perform some actions on an hourly interval. These actions will require access to several of the models in my application. I am currently using backgroundrb to handle processing of files, where I spawn a worker to

Re: wxRuby: How to add a scrollbar to a Wx::Notebook tab
I''m going to cross-post this to the wxRuby ML because I know of at least one wxRuby expert who does not subscribe to ruby-talk. Closing event on a Notebook page.
How do I catch a closing event for a Notebook page. I have added a number of pages (class Panel) to a Notebook and I can remove them via the default close button on the pane. But I what to run some code before the page(Panel) is closed, so I assumed that it gets a ''evt_close'', but that seems not to be the case. How do I get to run some code before the page(Panel) closes?

Asterisk on a notebook
Hi, I've got a (maybe stupid) question: I'd like to install Asterisk on my notebook (just to play around with it). Is my internal phone modem equivalent to an FXO port? Hence, could I make phonecalls to my pots-line with it? thanks philipp

Windows 7 notebook unaccessable
Hi, strange issue. Have several computers in office. From any of the computers there is no issue browsing any of the samba servers. There is one windows 7 notebook that also can browse any of the samba servers but no computer can access it. In other words from say from a windows 10 VM, click the notebook name in Network, immediately there is a popup saying it cannot access \\computer_name Try

Desktop freeze... now what?
Hi, I installed CentOS 5 on a client's machine yesterday afternoon. He phoned me in the evening to tell me that his desktop "froze several times upon him", and he had to hard-reboot it. The last time this happened to me was with some exotic wireless card whose driver had problems with SMP. But here, I have no wireless card. So the only suspect is the NVidia Geforce 4000 card.

Asterisk on a notebook?
I'd dearly love to be able to give an Asterisk demo by just toting my notebook, a PC/PCMCIA card, and a couple SIP phones. Is there any way to do this? Or should I look for a small-profile box with PCI slots, instead?

winetest-latest.exe crashes on notebook, leads to reboot
This ain't funny anymore. On my notebook with ati xpress 1250 onboard graphics running Windows XP, the latest version of winetest (corresponding to wine 1.1.41) crashes after some timeout in the d3d9 tests, which leads to a hard reboot. On my intel945 desktop there's just some timeout. While I understand, that this X1250 chip is not really decent hardware and not supported anymore by Ati
