Maintainer for Krita on CentOS
The Krita [1] mailing list is now discussing making a standalone .tgz
package of the latest Krita for CentOS 5.x. After this tarball is
created is there anyone interested in making and maintaining a CentOS
5.x RPM package from it?

Bind9 zero day bug - CVE-2011-4313 - when will there be an update in Centos 5+6 ?
Hi.
http://www.debian.org/security/2011/dsa-2347
There is updated packages for Debian (and Ubuntu) already.
Do you know how long until Centos release an update to bind ?
I have looked here and couldn't see any info -
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-announce/2011-November/thread.html
- Is this the correct place to look for security update info ?
Cheers !

Dovecot Migration: Retrieving/Logging POP/IMAP Passwords in Plaintext
Hi List
I'm currently in the process of migrating my dovecot imap/pop users to a
new server and have to extract their passwords in order to import them into
the new system (different password encryption schemes).
I've tried enabling auth_* debug parameters in my dovecot.conf in the hope
that this would result in logging plaintext passwords to the dovecot log.
However dovecot does not log

Strange Login / Timeout Sessions
I have my webmail application tied to Postfix / Dovecot server & now
for some reason the IMAP sessions oddly time out throughout the day
and then logging back into the mail system over the web is painfully
slow. The only thing I've seen that fixes it is to reload the Dovecot
daemon in Linux:
/etc/init.d/dovecot reload
Once that command is ran, my webmail login is super fast and moving

more than 200 imap processes for one user
HI,
recently I noticed, that our dovecot server (RH EL 5.7
dovecot-1.0.7-7.el5_7.1) 'fires' up a lot of imap processes only for one
user.
I counted 214 :-) most of tham in the 'S' state and are started nearly
at the same time within 5 minutes.
Usually users do have about 4 to 10 ....
Dose anyone has an idea, what could be the cause?
Thanks for any suggestion and best regards .

487 imap-login processes - is this ok
Hi,
recently I checked our mailserver for some more tuning and optimizing
and noticed, that currently I do have 487 imap-login processes and I'm
asking myself if that's o.k.
We do have about 1.000 user in total and not everybody is currently
logged in.
May be this is o.k. but if not, what might I check?
We run the dovecot package provided by redhat EL 5.8 dovecot-1.0.7-7.el5_7.1
