Sweave file generation
Dear list,I have read really a lot the past few days, but I haven't found a matching solution for my problem.I have R 2.9.2 on Windows XP and MikTex 2.8 installed. What I want to do is to automate the sweave file generation.I thought I could use the R2Sweave, RweaveLatex, and Sweave in a combination so thatI won't need to do anything.Perhaps some minor modifications at the last step.My

Sweaving in png
Hello list,
despite I already posted a mail on this topic on R help, I guess this place may be more appropriate.
I'll make it shorter this time. Sorry for posting twice.
I found that using pixmap pictures in a Sweave document was sometimes almost impossible, due to the huge size of the pdf pictures produced.
The first solution I found was to save pictures in png, when too heavy in pdf.

tests Rin Rout
Hi the list,
Some rumour (!) say that is it possible to prepare some tests for
checking our code using .Rin and .Rout. It seems to be a very good
practice, but I did not manage to find information on it.
So does someone know how it works ? What are we suppose to write in Rin ?
More precisely :
- I have a package myPack.r in directories ~/myR/myPack/R/

embed Sweave driver in .Rnw file
Hello,
Sweave lets you use alternative drivers through the driver argument, and
several packages take advantage of that and define custom Sweave driver
for various purposes. Most of them are listed on the Reproducible
Research CTV:
The next natural step is for package developpers to take advantage of
this in their vignettes. In

UnauthorizedAccessException in R(D)COM
Dear friends,
I am trying to create a web application to produce some
statistical result using R. In order to avoid high CPU usage of web
server caused by R, I have to create an ASP.NET web service in another
server to involve R.
But I am facing the unauthorizedAccessException when I call the
web service, even I have assigned access and launch permission to everyone

Sweave
Dear All,
I have both R 2.80 and Scientific Workplace 5.5 installed on my computer.
I copied the following commands from HTML help provided by R:
testfile <- system.file("Sweave", "Sweave-test-1.Rnw", package = "utils")
Sweave(testfile)
I then compile Sweave-test-1.tex file using Scientific Workplace 5.5. Apparently, Scienfic Workplace 5.5 does not recognize

bug in Rf_PrintValue ?
I'm very green with R, so maybe this is not a bug, but it looks like one to
me. The following program segfaults at the second call to Rf_PrintValue().
To failure depends on the value of the y-string. E.g., if I change it from
"coverage" to, say, "COVERAGE", the segfault does not occur.

help files for libraries that aren't in the defaults library tree
Hello,
I created a library for a bunch of functions that I use frequently
so that I dont have to carry duplicate copies around to wherever I fire
up an R sesssion. However, I have problems locating the help files
for those functions. Here are some details.
I created the library "myR" and installed this in /home/royle/R
using:
R INSTALL -l /home/royle/R /home/royle/Rpackages/myR

including Sweave tangled code in '.Rnw' document
Hello List,
I have been using Sweave for my homework this last quarter and have been
very impressed at how much time and effort it saves me. I, however, have
run up against a problem which I have not been able to solve using any of
the Sweave/LaTeX tricks I know. I work through my homework one problem at a
time, typesetting equations and writing R code, etc. and occasionally use

Building a custom Windows installer
Dear r-devel list members,
It's been several years since I last built a custom Windows installer for R,
and despite my notes and the instructions in Sections 3.1.7 and D.4 of the R
Installation and Administration Manual, I've run into a problem, receiving
the following error message:

Hello,
I am trying to compile some F77 subroutines as shared objects for R on my Mac.

I have done this (successfully) before on Sun Solaris and Linux Fedora systems using the following command.

I'm at a loss with a problem considering running .tex files produced

Does Sweave run in the global environment ?
Hello
It seems that sweave always runs in the global environment. I want to
run sweave from within a function, and pass a variable into sweave,
however when I do this, sweave doesn't see the variable.
Here's my example test_sweave.Rnw file

Adding RtangleRuncode and RtangleFinish to exports of utils
Hi,
Could R-Core consider adding 'RtangleRuncode' and 'RtangleFinish' to the exports of utils. Their weave equivalent 'makeRweaveLatexCodeRunner' and ?'RweaveLatexFinish' are exported, as well as the other tangle utility functions 'RtangleSetup' and 'RtangleWritedoc'.
The rationale is not just symmetry. ;-)
I'm finishing a small package that
