still getting weird .{inbox} folder creations with latest -test7
Hi, I am still getting strange creation and mailbox lookups from 0.99.11-test7. dovecot creates in ~/Maildir/ .INBOX/ .imap.index .imap.index.cache .imap.index.log .customflags dovecot-uidlist .INBOX seems to be a reference to ~/Maildir/{cur,new,tmp} yet I

namespace trouble
I am having some trouble with dovecot 1.2.12 and some namespace issues, or at least that's what I think is the issue. I setup a virtual mailhosting using mysql and postfix. I can receive email and send email without a problem, but when I use mutt to sign in to dovecot, I can't list any Folders, it see's INBOX but it doesn't see any mail. I generally try to not post my problems

Saving Drafts with Roundcube marks old Mails in INBOX as unread.
Hello List, I have a problem with the client Roundcube. Whenever I save a draft to the Folder INBOX.Drafts a old mail in my INBOX will be marked as unread. Here are the IMAP Logs from Roundcube and Dovecot debug logs. I have no idea why it happens. The IMAP protocol looks normal to me but as you can see in the second to last line in the Dovecot log Dovecot is changing the flag of an old E-Mail

Significance in Count data
Dear all, I have some count data and I would like to know how can I assess which are the items in my dataset that have a count significantly smaller or bigger than I would expect (each item with the same number of counts, i.e. from a uniform distribution). Example file: Item Count A0001 48 A0002 39 A0003 28 A0004 16 A0005 13 A0006 2 ... ... A9999 15

rawlog change suggestion
I find the separate .in and .out files rather difficult to work with. I think it would be more useful if the in/out traffic were interleaved with a prefix to indicate direction, and suffix to indicate continuation, as recordio (http://cr.yp.to/ucspi-tcp/recordio.html) does: <a0002 LIST "" "" >* LIST (\Noselect) ";" "" >a0002 OK List completed.

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] clang with pthread on mingw
Hi Vincent, This is an LLVM issue, rather than a clang issue, so llvmdev is the appropriate mailing list for this report. Your fix looks semantically valid, but it would be cleaner to only create and destroy the pthread_rwlockattr_t if it is actually needed, rather than creating it, initialising it, not using it, and then destroying it on mingw (and, as the code currently stands, *BSD). Webmail architecture : questions about cache and storage backend
Hi, I have some questions about dovecot-2.1 and need some advice about software architecture. My company plans to develop a kind of Document Managing System (DMS) and one of its module is a webmail that is currently in a pre-alpha stage (if you are curious you can have a look here http://kairos.smartmobili.com/ but don't be surprised if it doesn't work and please do not use IE for

Looking for a Plug-In developer
Hi, We need a small plug-in developed for dovecot. We are looking to pay for for its development. We need to add support for a custom IMAP command. The command is for the storage of a numeric PIN field in a database. The database is PostgreSQL. Another table in the database defines the minimum and maximum length of the numeric PIN field. The IMAP client server exchange after a user login

Children, HasChildren
Hello, I'm using dovecot 0.99.10.2 on a debian box. Mailstore is maildir. If I list the IMAP hierarchy in mutt (debian, 1.5.4+20031024-1) it shows all my plain mailboxes as having subfolders - while none of them have. I straced mutt and this is the IMAP exchange (a bit reformatted for readability): write(6, "a0001 LSUB \"\" \"%\"\r\n", 19) = 19 read(3, "

Weird problem on Alpha
Heyas ... Hope you aren't tired of me already .... I have a very strange problem, I think. Having become happy-happy with dovecot, I decided to install it on another machine that runs on an internal network and provides mailboxes for system monitoring. The setup is, or should be, quite straightforward. TLS is disabled, plaintext is not (I'll change this later, probably; this way is in
