Unexplained size difference with CentOS 7 (1503) -01 install media
In the process of updating my copy of the CentOS 7 (1503) -01 install
media, I notice that it's ~70MB larger than the image that it's replacing:
$ rsync mirrors.kernel.org::centos/7.1.1503/isos/x86_64/*DVD*.iso
-rw-r--r-- 4310695936 2015/03/31 17:05:50 CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1503-01.iso

I use the livecd-creator to customize my own livecd iso. I use the
kickstart config file from
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CentOS/sig-core-livemedia/master/kickstarts/centos-7-livecd.cfg.

finally I got a iso, but the iso is strange.

CentOS 5 single DVD for i386 and x86_64
Hello,
I'd like to announce a release of a CentOS 5 DVD image, with i386 and
x86_64 installations.
This is an independent work, so please don't bother CentOS lists with
bugs related to the installer only.
Summary of changes:
* i686 and x86_64 install from a single dvd (automatic detection on boot)

Repodata filename problem in CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso ?

Merging Install DVDs on a PXE server
Hi all,
Probably a simple question, but, I'd like to merge both install DVDs
into one directory on my PXE server. Obviously I will need to copy all
of the files, but do I need to cast a magical incantation to recreate
.discinfo, .treeinfo, etc?

Which ISO format/layout does virt-builder expect?
I'm running into a bit of trouble using virt-builder and I'm hoping that someone might be able to point in the right direction.
My build process creates a custom ISO image which is subsequently used to kickstart an Oracle X4-2 server using PXE. The ISO is a minimal install and contains a suite of packages and customization scripts to properly configure our box during first boot. The

Custom respin ISO prompting for discs

I got from http://www.bootscriptor.org/ that memdisk not support Win ME
boot disk
however, I am using Bart's Multiple boot images (isolinux/memdisk)
method

mention in Bootscriptor in Bart's method. I change my isolinux.cfg as

I am trying to boot from an external USB hard drive (partition 1:
Windows, partition 2: primary/bootable ext3).
I took the kernel-image-2.6.8-1-368.deb and created a new initrd with
all modules, root=/dev/sda2 and Busybox (mkinitrd failed with my own
kernel ;-)
isolinux.cfg contains:
PROMPT 1
DEFAULT sda2
LABEL sda1
KERNEL vmlinuz
APPEND initrd=initrd ramdisk=16432k root=/dev/sda1

Error while running virt-install
Hi All
I need some real help in using virt-install.
I have a fedora8 o/s + Xen installed and wanted to have RHEL4 as the Guest Domain.
I have mounted the CD1 of RHEL4 and wanted to install this as guest domain using virt-install and not able to do and seeking help.
Please let me know if the parameters to virt-install are correct and if not please let me know the correct parameters.
