Jigdo, etc...
Hi folks, I've just finished rsyncing/downloading/jigdoizing the entire i386/x86_64 CentOS 4.2 distribution. If anyone is interested go to http://mirror.tcs.ii.uj.edu.pl/jigdo/ You'll need to edit the .jigdo file by hand to change the server section [Servers] CentOS42=file:/opt/mirrors/centos/4.2/ to point to a local mirror (file, http or ftp), ie. to use kernel.org: [Servers]

how to use livecd-creator to create my own livecd iso as same as offical release iso?
Hello list, I use the livecd-creator to customize my own livecd iso. I use the kickstart config file from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CentOS/sig-core-livemedia/master/kickstarts/centos-7-livecd.cfg. #livecd-creator -v --config centos-7-livecd.cfg --cache /var/cache/livecd finally I got a iso, but the iso is strange. The offical distribution iso is

USB install annoyances (not OT)[SOLVED]
Yet another denial - it's as though it's also blocking me based on the relationship of included text vs. new text. blah, blah, blah. Let's see if this is enough new text to get through. CentOS 5 single DVD for i386 and x86_64
Hello, I'd like to announce a release of a CentOS 5 DVD image, with i386 and x86_64 installations. This is an independent work, so please don't bother CentOS lists with bugs related to the installer only. Summary of changes: * i686 and x86_64 install from a single dvd (automatic detection on boot) * updates as of 2007-04-26 * no kdelibs-api-docs, openoffice.org, tetex-doc and most

Repodata filename problem in CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso ?
Originally posted as "Problem installing Centos 6.4/6.5 from USB stick seen as HDD by BIOS" Further testing seems to indicate there is some odd issue with the file names in the repodata directory. During installation, after the partitioning stage, anaconda logs an error trying to access the file

Merging Install DVDs on a PXE server
Hi all, Probably a simple question, but, I'd like to merge both install DVDs into one directory on my PXE server. Obviously I will need to copy all of the files, but do I need to cast a magical incantation to recreate .discinfo, .treeinfo, etc? Which ISO format/layout does virt-builder expect?
I'm running into a bit of trouble using virt-builder and I'm hoping that someone might be able to point in the right direction. My build process creates a custom ISO image which is subsequently used to kickstart an Oracle X4-2 server using PXE. The ISO is a minimal install and contains a suite of packages and customization scripts to properly configure our box during first boot. The
