[LLVMdev] how to compile mingw-llvm-gcc in windows
Anton--
I had some problems just getting a binary of mingw to run on my Windows box,
so perhaps, if you're willing, a step-by-step "download this, install it
here, download this other, install it here, download this optional piece if
you want X and install it here, now compile hello.cc and look at what you've
got" kind of installation guide would be helpful. (I got lost between

Mail problems? Need help finding this process!
Hello All,
I can't get this one figured out. The few search hits I get on it
suggest it is mail-related, but I don't even know how that was determined.
Apr 11 12:18:17 mxt root: Process did not exit cleanly, returned 255
with signal 0
I get one of these per minute. I can't seem to tweak for more verbosity.
Could someone tell me what is going on or point me to a place to

Searchable Archives of this list
Is there a searchable archive of this list? Did I overlook something
obvious? I can find the archives, but short of downloading all the
monthly gzips and building my own searchable database, it seems my
only other option is to go month by month looking at subjects and
hope to stumble on what I'm after.
Does anyone maintain a public searchable version of the archives?

some Maildir files not honoring dovecot-shared
I'm using RC15 on Solaris 9. The wiki indicates that when a dovecot-shared
file exists, "Dovecot uses the same permissions and GID when it creates
index files, dovecot-uidlist file, new mail files, etc." In my case,
Dovecot *is* creating new index files based on dovecot-shared, but
dovecot-uidlist and individual message files don't completely match the

Ubuntu Jaunty samba 3.3.2 print$ no write rights even though I do; -)
Initially when I posted my access problems to print$ I was using the new registry based smb.conf I had my whole configuration in the registry. Now I move my printers and print$ back to the text based smb.conf and I copied the standard ubuntu debian [printers] and [print$] out of the original ubuntu package smb.conf and the only modification that I made was under the [print$] I change read only to

I tried that fix, ran `make clean; ./configure --prefix=/opt` then:

New to list -- glennrp
Hello, speexers.
I'm new to the list and new to audio compression. I've been asked to
look into creating a digital archive of 20-minute speeches (sermons)
and speex seems to be what I need.
My experience is in image compression; I shepherded gzip, deflate, zlib,
and png through the IETF process, put "image/png" through
the IANA registration process, and I maintain several

Mailing list archives searchable ?
Hi,
I've been on the list for slightly under a month now and noticed;
a) a fairly high amount of traffic,
b) a lot of questions which come up more than once,
c) the archives at lists.digium.com are not searchable.
I have started development to import the mailinglist archives into a MySQL
database and creating a full text search possibility on this. My questions;
1) Is this already done

Searchable List Archives?
I'd like to be able to search the list archives when I'm reading
someone's message to put what they say in context based on what they've
said, and what others have said in conversation with them, in the past.
It would help me figure out whether to trust some submitters on some
issues, and just learn more from the community's collective/cumulative
research and discussion. Is

Searchable archives of Markdown discussion list still available?
I was interested in going back to research past discussions on the
list about possibilities for a syntax to add a class="foo" to div's
and/or span's to Markdown text, but didn't have much luck.
IIRC, the list never had a searchable web interface, but older posts
were available on a Google search. This seems not to be the case any
more. Can anyone recommend a good

Samba and XP - Updated Registry - Still no go
One user on our church network is using XP Home Edition. I updated the
registry as I have seen posted on various sites.
He is still not able to connect. I have the feeling it is because he has
joined a "workgroup" and not a "domain". I am able to change the workgroup
name but I can't seem to figure out how to join a domain instead.
Is there a restriction that the

Search result inconsistencies due to indexing
I seem to be having problems with getting my searcher to be consistent
while indexing. I am running the latest version of ferret (0.10.13) and
I am using the Searchable plugin. Currently the way it indexes is by
using a callback in the model of either after_update or after_create to
index the fields that I have setup to be indexed.
Right now I update the index about once every 4 or 5

Browsable/searchable mailing list archives
Hi,
Is there an easily browsable and searchable archive for cfe-dev?
I often find myself wanting to link to a particular email, and it’s a very time consuming process with a pipermail interface.
I’ve noticed that llvm-dev is reposted to a google group (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/llvm-dev <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/llvm-dev>)
which can be super convenient for that

Bidirectional printers, LPRng, and Samba...
Does anyone have any hints or suggestions on getting some JetDirect-based
printers set up for bidirectional printing in Samba?
We're using LPRng 3.8.0, ifhp 3.4.7, and samba 2.2.2
From the LPRng standpoint, the printers seem to be set up for
bidirectional communication fine.. but how do we get Samba to allow
bidirectional communication?
Thanks in advance!
