-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, I'm Trevi?o (AKA Trevinho, AKA 3v1n0, AKA trevi55 ;P) it's my first message here, also if I'm reading the ML from the archives since long time... I maintened a beryl-svn (then git) repository, and I'm planning to do the same as soon as I can for compiz-git (BTW, some pre-release packages are at http://tinyurl.com/396up9),

Icewind Dale 2 Mouse Cursor
Hi, First I want to say I am really impressed with Wine. Its about as good as Cedega and sometimes better in my experience. Anyways my problem concerns Icewind Dale 2, after starting the game up my mouse cursor is not the gloved hand in game version but a mix of that and the KDE desktop cursor. It looks like a black square with both cursors overlapping. Naturally this makes it difficult to play

Xorg cursor instead of wine's (or even changing wine's default cursor)
Is there a way to hide wine's default cursor or change it or use Xorg's cursor? (I did ask this on IRC last night, but only 1 person responding he/she didn't think so, so I'm asking on the list just to be sure). Reason for this is, I have found a mouse.c patch that enables a sort of HW OpenGL cursor for WoW. (Basically shows the wine hw cursor instead of hiding it, then with a

[PATCH] nouveau: put cursor BO in GART
Keeping it in VRAM wastes CPU time, because cursor_set ioctl reads handed BO back to RAM, just to write it to actual cursor BO. Here (nv92/core i7), this patch decreases overall cpu usage of drmmode_load_cursor_argb from 4.6ms to ~90us and lets nv50_crtc_cursor_set disappear from perf traces. --- I considered accelerating kernel-side copying with GPU, but it turns out that: - it's slower

Loss of Prompt & Cursor
When I log into a virtual console as ordinary user, I initially have a prompt & cursor. After I print 24 lines or more, the last visible (24th) line will be data instead of the prompt & cursor. The up arrow no longer gives the previous commands. A clear command will restore the prompt & cursor. This bug first appeared after I installed CentOS5. I do not believe it is a CentOS5

script/console cursor goes crazy sometimes on XP
I''m on WinXP SP2, Ruby 1.8.4, Rails 1.1.2. Sometimes when I''m editing a line in script/console - that is, I''m using the cursor keys or backspace key to edit the text on the current line - the cursor suddenly flies off to the previous line out in space somewhere, and typing anything after that just results in characters being entered at weird places. Anybody else

how to stop cursor blinking in wine GUI
Hi all wine users and developers, I have a touch question which I have been searching answers for quite a long time to configure wine but still have not solved yet. Wine is the only Windows program simulator running in Linux which I use, however one thing annoying me is that currently the cursor is always blinking in the GUI. For example, the editplus running in wine. Something it really drives

Avoiding Delete key function as 'Quit R' in Rterm when there are no characters in cursor line
That looks to me like a bug, but I don't use Windows any more, so I won't offer to try to fix it for you. In fact I don't think Rterm has many users at all: most Windows users probably use RStudio or one of the other graphical front ends (Visual Studio, Emacs, Rgui, etc.) So maybe you can track down the issue, or someone else will try. Or maybe you'll just have to avoid

Slightly OT: Vim command (or macro) to replace space under cursor by " " (without deleting the following word)
Hi, I'm using Vim to edit some static XHTML pages. I have to (manually) check for non-breakable spaces in my text, and eventually replace simple spaces by the following character sequence: Usually, when I perform the same operation over and over in a text, I do it once, and then repeat it in command mode using [.]. But I can't figure out how to do this here.

Avoiding Delete key function as 'Quit R' in Rterm when there are no characters in cursor line
I don't use term, but I've just tested it and this is reproducable. Is it a bug? Not sure. If you hit c after getting the message it will cancel the q() request. Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,
