Possible AGI Bug in Asterisk?
Dear All, I seem to have stumbled across an AGI problem; I have written an AGI Script (bottom of this email); The script does the following; Makes a CDR entry when called Records the call Updates the CDR Finds a corresponding DNIS from the SMDR table (captured via a serial port logger) Matches up the record and updates the CDR. The script works perfectly in my test lab and has been doing so

setvar=CDR(accountcode)=${EXTEN} in sip.conf ???
Trying to do something like this in the sip.conf under my incoming provider profiles: setvar=CDR(accountcode)=${EXTEN} It seems to show up in the CDR but it's showing up exactly like this "${EXTEN}". Is there a way to stuff the DNIS (number dialed) into the accountcode for CDR? I have already accomplished setting on a number by number basis, I just want to do it globally for all

Please advise. Thank you, Dragos -------------- next part

Stuck on MySQL UPDATE
What I'm retrying to do is update mysql field with the new message ID that was just recorded. Ideally, I'd like to specify the field to update using a variable ${BINID} and use ${NEWPHRASENAME} for the value - I'm not sure asterisk will allow using a variable for the field name and if not, I'll attempt to create an exten for each bin to update. Here the method I'd like to

what is the magic needed from upgrading from 1.4 to 1.6
I am upgrading a box from 1.4 to 1.6 and my console/dsp stopped working. I am getting a SIP/401 Unauthorized error and then a SIP/404 error. I changed nothing in the configs. Is there a particular parameter needed for 1.6 that 1.4 did not care about? If I drop back to 1.4 it starts working again. Thanks Jerry

Problems Overwriting CallerID with True ANI
I receive calls over a T1 with callerid and then *ani*dnis*. I am able to strip out the ani and the dnis in the dialplan but when I try to set the caller ID to be the ani, it looks ok but then if I do a NoOp callerid on the next line, I get unknown. Here is the section of my dialplan: exten => _*NXXNXXXXXX*NXXNXXXXXX*,1,Set(ANI=${EXTEN}) exten =>

R2 protocol error
Hi, I have three R2 installation on different carriers, all shows the same inconsistency at varying degree. But, on most test calls we made, it reaches T3. The worst part of these, the carrier claims that it's my R2 box that is not responding in time. Please, check the attached file and take note of the timestamp, you'll find that in some call, it already contradict what the carrier

Does Asterisk support DNIS?
The subject pretty much says it all. Does Asterisk support DNIS, and if so, what kind of connection is required? (T1, PRI) I've got a wink start T1. I've read comments that say the DNIS will be seen as an extension, but I'm seeing each digit of the DNIS as a separate extension. So in my case I send DNIS of 12345, Asterisk will jump from extension 1 to extension 2 to extension 3 to

CDR: Add Dialed Number Identifierfield (DNID) field into MySQL
Hi, I would like to see the DNID in my MySQL CDR logs. I have read one big thread in the Asterisk Developer List, but I could not figure out how to implement it ? Is there a simple step-by-step. Thx in advance. Vai
