[PATCH] support master user to login as other users by DIGEST-MD5 SASL proxy authorization
Hi Timo, As http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Authentication/MasterUsers states, currently the first way for master users to log in as other users only supports PLAIN SASL mechanism, and because DIGEST-MD5 uses user name to calculate MD5 digest, the second way can't support DIGEST-MD5. I enhance the code to support DIGEST-MD5 too for the first way, please review the attached patch against

doveadm segfaults on TCP connect - version 2.0.15
Hi list, I just recently installed Dovecot 2.0.15. Unfortunately, doveadm segfaults when I attempt to connect to the local dovecot instance. When this occurs, my logs show: 2011-10-19T12:31:23-07:00 mail02 dovecot: doveadm: Error: doveadm client not compatible with this server (mixed old and new binaries?) I am using the settings listed on the wiki page http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Director [root

Are these events normal?
We have dropped dovecot in place of UW-IMAP for about 40000 users and have solved our immediate problem: disk I/O overload, mainly from people doing POP3 and "leave mail on server". Thank you! Now i got loads of dovecot error messages in the logs and don't know if there is any significance. Here are a few examples: The most common event is: 2007-12-06 16:00:17.837654500 dovecot:

No IN and OUT on ISDN line at the same time?
Hi, I like to forward an incoming call on an ISDN line to my mobile phone. Since ISDN offers two channels, I thought that this should work, but Asterisk tells me, that there is no channel available. There is no one else using this line, so guess I made a mistake in the configuration or it might not work for another reason. Here's the CLI output , the capi.conf and extensions.conf. 83086921 is

1.1.2 segfaults when using passdb passwd and md5 mechanism
Setting passdb to passwd and enabling cram-md5 or digest-md5 makes dovecot crash. The documentation says that I can use md5 with passwd. I had to use strace to figure it, because dovecot segfaults and doesn't log the error. Using CenOS 5.2 x86_64 Regards, Miguel # dovecot -n # 1.1.2: /etc/dovecot.conf listen: 127.0.0.1 login_dir: /var/run/dovecot/login login_executable(default):

Setting up asterisk for one user in private ip NAT.
Hi. I've just bought SIP telephony service from a Swedish telco. I've managed to make and receive calls with kphone. Now I want to set up asterisk to be able to add fancy features like voice mail and recording conversations. But first I have to get the basic setup right. I'm running asterisk and kphone on the same machine, behind at NAT-router. When I make a call (from my regular

GSSAPI and deny=yes passdb
Hi. Is it possible to use GSSAPI authentication and deny passdb together? Seems it doesn't work as I expect: GSSAPI doesn't check deny passdb, so I'm not able to restrict access to GSSAPI-users. I can see these in logs when user tries to connect with PLAIN authentication (via pam_krb5): Oct 4 11:14:31 vm03 auth: Debug: passwd-file(testuser,172.17.0.123): lookup: user=testuser

IMAP proxy with master user and CRAM-MD5 auth mechanism
Hello, I would like to know if it possible to have a dovecot IMAP proxy frontend where CRAM-MD5 can be used as auth mechanism (assuming I would be using a master user/password on the dovecot IMAP backend/mailbox)? I have read a few times the following http://wiki2.dovecot.org/PasswordDatabase/ExtraFields/Proxy page but somehow it is still unclear to me if the IMAP proxy then needs to have all the
