Mixed-commit problem solved
Well, that wasn't as nasty as I feared it would be. Turns out that in the general case it's possible to partition a mixed-branch revision into branch cliques and generate multiple import-stream commits, one for each affected branch. We lose only if the split commit is the source of a later directory copy; I have a check for that that says, basically, "if you see this fatal error,

For APC Back UPS ES users
?With Arnaud Quette's help, I have tried to fix the regression concerning the APC Back UPS ES unit. This regression is related to an issue in this UPS firmware. It cannot be reverted to previous version because the current code fixes communication issue with others UPS (which behave correctly, but are not very permissive). So we (Arnaud and I) have decided to add a tweak (call it a hack if you

NOTIFYCMD doesn't work from Windows service
Hello dear all, I try to use NUT for windows (not WinNUT), and stuck with launching NOTIFYCMD. On any event marked as SYSLOG+WALL+EXEC syslog entry appears, popup window appears, but NOTIFYCMD script doesn't run. If I run upsmon.exe in cmd (i. e. not as a service) everything works fine. Here is my upsmon.conf: MONITOR central at 10.35.0.180 1 user password slave MINSUPPLIES 1 SHUTDOWNCMD

SSL only working in DEBUG mode
Hi, I spent quite some time pulling my hair out and trying to figure out why NUT wasn't working properly with SSL enabled. I tried several approaches until I found something interesting. I'm using NUT 2.7.1 in Ubuntu Server 14.04 Trusty Tahr After properly configuring a self signed certificate with "certutil" from libnss3-tools, there was no way to get proper SSL connection

[RFC] Eaton Software Development Kit (SDK), based on NUT
Dear NUT developers, As you all know, Eaton is NUT biggest corporate fan, supporting the project through many contributions. Now, Eaton would like to provide its customers with a way to build their own applications to interface with Eaton devices, using the NUT code-base. To do this, in a smart and efficient way (ie limiting additions and modifications to the bare minimum), we (Frederic and

How to remove dangling menu items
I tried to test Wine for the first time, installing the only application that I already had an executable for, an old version of Seamonkey web browser. It installed ok, but when uninstalled, through wine, had some issues...first the unistall option did not appear in wine, but fixed that. Finally, when uninstalled Seamonkey, it left a second wine menu item in Gnome Applications menu. I have
