asterisk-doc Conference Call - phase 2 :)
Thank you to everyone who has offered so far! I've had formal offers from Martin List-Peterson, William Suffil, Greg Varga, Brian Cuthie and Ed Guy (hopefully I haven't forgotten someone....!) Now we just have to decide where the best spot to host it is. What do you guys think? For this week, I don't care if this is a one off. At some point I'd like to have a weekly conference,

[PATCH v2] Documentation: introduce the working directory
ldlinux.sys uses a working directory. The documentation seems to improve if that fact is made explicit. So the working directory is added to the documentation (with a bit of vagueness and possibly not entirely correct, to keep it readable). While we're at it, also convert the name ldlinus.sys to lowercase everywhere, even if it's clear its name is used in a DOS context. Signed-off-by:

Viewing pdfs from inst/doc
Writing R extensions says: In addition to the help files in Rd format, R packages allow the inclusion of documents in arbitrary other formats. The standard location for these is subdirectory inst/doc of a source package, the contents will be copied to subdirectory doc when the package is installed. Pointers from package help indices to the installed documents are automatically created.

Which SpanDSP version to play with Asterisk 10 and T.38/T.30 gatewaying ?
Hi, Maybe I missed it while checking it, but which spandsp version is recommended to play with Asterisk 10 and T.38/T.30 gatewaying ? I can see both spandsp-0.0.6pre17.tgz and spandsp-0.0.6pre18.tgz here (http://www.soft-switch.org/downloads/spandsp/) but I couldn't find a changelog documenting differences between them. So I prefer to double check ask for recommendations. Regards

Improving asterisk documentation - sources and what the community can do
Hi All, There have been a number of comments recently about a shortage of documentation on Asterisk, so I wanted to cover briefly the documentation options available and suggest what they are useful for and how they can be improved... Documentation sources: http://www.asteriskdocs.org/ - Not much there at the moment, due to come back up with new content in 2009... - Should be a good location for

But those are my thoughts and I hope somebody can point my out to the good way to find something. For example, I currently look for information about session managment, and find the code :

MP3s in /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 causes Asterisk crash
Hi All, I have just compiled the newest version of mpg123 on a RedHat 9.0 system (mpg321 has not been installed) and I am using the newest CVS version of asterisk. Whenever I place any mp3 files in the /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/ directory, Asterisk crashes a horrible fiery death. If mp3s exist in that directory, then I can't even start Asterisk. If I start it without files then copy

How to customize CDR(src) value ?
Hi, Asterisk 11 doc says CDR(src) value is read-only (see https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+11+Function_CDR). For various reasons, I would appreciate to change its value so that it my own presentation rules instead of telco rules. Very often, I'm connected to telcos through DAHDI (and ISDN). For instance, telco presents calls with 123456789 while I would prefer a normalized

Asterisk 10/1.6.1 and Dahdi/Libpri compatilities in BRI /PtmP
Hi, After an upgrade, I discovered yesterday strange things I would like to share here. Basically, I'me comparing platforms: The first one is a 2.6.26 (Debian Lenny) platform, with Asterisk 1.6.1.18, Libpri 1.4.10.2, Dahdi revision 8853 (must be between 2.3 and 2.5, I think). The second one is a 2.6.32 (Debian Squeeze) platform, with Asterisk 10.5.1, Libpri 1.4.12, Dahdi 2.6.1. Both are
