odfWeave
I am new to using odfWeave but I have encountered a problem running both the example in the help file as well as another file. I am not sure how to correct the error. First example: library(odfWeave) filein <- 'c:\\my documents\\example01_in.odt' fileout <- 'c:\\my documents\\example01.odt' odfWeave(filein, fileout, control = odfWeaveControl(cleanup = T)) error:

odfWeave Error
Hi All, This is probably basic, but I am just starting with R and very interested in learning how to automate my reports. I am just learning about Sweave and LaTex. I am following an example from online and am getting the following error: ....."Error unizipping file....unzip not found". I am not a programmer by any stretch, but I realize that the package is either not recognizing

eps in odfWeave
Dear Weavers, Does someone have an example of using eps or any other vector graphics with odfWeave? It tried the example below (and commented variants) with simple.odt in the examples directory, and got an error. Dieter #--- library(odfWeave) plotInfo <- getImageDefs() plotInfo$type = "eps" #plotInfo$device = "postscript" setImageDefs(plotInfo)

odfWeave examples not working
Hi, I'm currently taking a look at possibilities to report my results, produced by R. After looking at LaTex, I'm now considering the odf format, as most people at my company work with MS Word. So using odfWeave would be my best bet probably. But if I run some examples from the odfWeave package, I cant open the output in Open Office: demoFile <- system.file("examples",

odfWeave: odt-file damaged
Dear all, I am doing my first steps with odfWeave. After running the r code (see below), I am trying to open the ODF-document with open office, but I am getting the error message: "The file is damaged, but it can be repaired". If I confirm the question and repair the file with open office, I can open it with the desired output, which seems to be fine. My system: R Version 2.9.1

Possible buglet (wart ?) of odfWeave 0.7.6 (with workaround)
Dear List, I have had problems inserting some (not all !) figures via odfWeave (using print(someLatticeFunction)...). The figure was correctly displayed in a R device window but the resulting ODF document displayed the correct space for the figure and an empty frame with a "broken image" icon and a "read error" mention. Exploration of the odf (.odt, in my case) file showed

odfWeave 0.7.17 stutters on Debian testing 64-bit amd64 systems.
Dear list, This is a copy of a mail sent to Max Kuhn, original author and maintainer of the odfWeave package, which seems not to have received it. It reports a problem that seems to be very implementation specific (reproductible on three Debian testing amd64 machine, does *not* happen on two i686 Debian testing systems, does *not* happen on an Ubuntu 11.06 amd64 machine) and therefore not

odfWeave Error unzipping file in Win 7
Hey guys, I?m just getting started with R (version 2.12.0) and odfWeave and kinda stumble from one problem to the next, the current one is the following: trying to use odfWeave: > odfctrl <- odfWeaveControl( + zipCmd = c("C:/Program Files/unz552dN/VBunzip.exe $$file$$ .", + "C:/Program Files/unz552dN/VBunzip.exe $$file$$")) > >

several odfWeave questions
[Sending both to the maintainer and to R-help, in case anyone else has answers ...] I've looked in odfWeave documentation, vignette, and poked around on the web some, and haven't found answers yet. 1a. am I right in believing that odfWeave does not respect the 'keep.source' option? Am I missing something obvious? 1b. is there a way to set global options analogous to

odfWeave UTF-8 error and latin characters
Hello R masters, I have sent this same message to other lists and none so far could give some light. I was trying to use odfWeave to generate a report from R and Im getting an error that I think is related to latin characters. I looked around and did find some stuff related to this problem about Sweave http://labmoluscos.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/sweave-latex-character-encoding/ but did not find a

Errors when trying to open odfWeave documents
Hello I tried the odfWeave package today, by running the formatting.odt and example.odt files that are included with the package. They both ran fine, but when I try to open them in my OpenOffice (OpenOffice 3.1.1 on Kubuntu 9.10) I get an error "Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at 1293,124(row,col)." I also tried to open them in MS Word 2003 (Windows

Sweave and tth
I tried odfWeave to create an OpenOffice file and found that it exhausted the memory of my large linux machine and took a long time to run. LaTeX with Sweave is blazing fast and extremely flexible. Most of the time I can give clients a pdf file. Sometimes I'd like to make Sweave LaTeX files more accessible (and editable) to (gulp) Word users, mainly so they can extract tables and other

Output and Word
Hi I have just started to have a look at R. I have used most stats software packages and can use perl, visual basic etc. I am interested in how well it handles lots of output e.g. tables or charts. How would you get lots of output most easily and quickly into a Word document? Sharon Snowdon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - FIGHT BACK AGAINST SPAM!

This is what i'm typing: bash-2.03# rsync -avvv --rsh="ssh -l tdf" tdf@machine.niss.ac.uk:/export/home/tdf/demofile.html demofile.html This is what I get: opening connection

odfWeave: Trouble Getting the Package to Work
Hello All, Have recently started learning Sweave and Knitr. Am now trying to learn odfWeave as well. Things went pretty smoothly with Sweave and Knitr but I'm having some trouble with odfWeave. My understanding was that odfWeave should work in pretty much the same way as Sweave. With odfWeave, you set up an input .odt file in a folder, run that file through the odfWeave function, and then

odfWeave: odt-file damaged
Dear all, I'm resurrecting this old post (about 6 monts old, reproduced thereafter) because I have struggled against the same problem and found a solution so that I found it was worth posting for the record. The simple fix when you want to use odfWeave with 7-ZIP as a compressing/decompressing utility under windows is to use the 'x' instead of the 'e' option so as to preserve
