6.1 Release Notes translations
Can we get the people who normally translate the Release Notes started on the current version of the notes for 6.1? Here is the current version ... I am getting ready to add the CDs and the sha1sums soon, everything else should be fairly stable in there. http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS6.1 Thanks, Johnny Hughes -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was

CR repo - version issue
Hi We use mrepo to keep a local repository. I downloaded the CentOS6.1 iso and used that as the base. We also have the CR repo added. I was expecting this change to cause no issues but the following packages have version issues between the base 6.1 and the CR repo:- base version CR version dbus-libs-1.2.24-4.el6_0.x86_64 dbus-libs-1.2.24-5.el6_1.x86_64

Transition to CentOS - RAID HELP!
Hi Folks, I've inherited an old RH7 system that I'd like to upgrade to CentOS6.1 by means of wiping it clean and doing a fresh install. However, the system has a software raid setup that I wish to keep untouched as it has data on that I must keep. Or at the very least, TRY to keep. If all else fails, then so be it and I'll just recreate the thing. I do plan on backing up

Windows 8 polices are not applied
Hello all, I am having some problems with the group policies in a small (~10 pc's) AD. I have set up Samba and i used a NAS for saving home folders and policies. I then had to replace the NAS and i used a new ip for the new NAS. For the last step i changed the ip of the redirected folders in the policy in order to point all pc's to the new NAS. It seems the policies are not applied

Is it a bug in list() behavior?
Hello! let: test<-1:3 list(test) names(test)<-c("X11","X12","Y23") >test[["Y2"]] 3 I had assumed that the names in a list are like a keys in a hash. Therefore i thought that no value should be returned. The behavior of: >test["Y2"] <NA> NA is as i expected. Should it be as it is? How is the definition of [[]] and []?

CentOS + GFS + EtherDrive
I am considering building a pair of storage servers that will be using CentOS and GFS to share the storage from a Coraid (SATA+Raid) EtherDrive shelf. Has anyone else tried such a setup? Is GFS stable enough to use in a production environment? There is a build of GFS 6.1 at http://rpm.karan.org/el4/csgfs/. Has anyone used this? Is it stable? Will I run into any problems if I use CentOS 3.5

Server hangs initializing audio
I have a server that frequently hangs while rebooting. I see no errors, but during the boot process it stops at this stage: Initializing hardware... storage network audio The cursor sits just after the word "audio" and I have to do a hard reset to get out of it. This server has no audio capabilities, so I am thinking that I just need to disable the audio stuff so it doesn't

Will QA web site have CentOS 6.1 status?
The QA web site at http://qaweb.dev.centos.org/qa/blog was really helpful for those of us who were curious as to how CentOS 6.0 was coming along. However, there doesn't seem to be much information as to how CentOS 6.1 is going from either the QA web site, the forums (Announcements), or Kananbir's twitter feed -- but it may be I'm just not looking in the right place. Does the QA

Hide content before page load
Hi, i''ve been experimentating with dynamicCSS.js [1] to hide content only if JavaScript is enabled. It works pretty well and fires before onload to avoid the flash of visible content. Now i''m wondering if there is a Prototype way of doing this. [1] http://www.bobbyvandersluis.com/articles/dynamicCSS.php My main problem is that Prototype functions like Element.toggle() do
