[Ubuntu 10.10/wine 1.3.16] Nonexistent printers in pulldown
The applications I run under wine (e.g., Quicken 2007, notepad) list "nonexistent" printers in their printer selection pulldown lists. Of the eight or ten listed, only two are really configured on my system.
It appears that the wine list contains residue from previous installations / deinstallations of printers, which I had done via the cups configuration tool (system-config-printer

Update second pulldown menu based on first menu selection?
I know I''ve seen this somewhere on this board and just can''t search it
anymore.
I have three relational tables: clients, projects, and tasks. Currently
I''m working on customizing the ''new/edit'' task _form. So far I have it
listing clients in a pulldown menu so I can assign the new task to a
client. I''d like to have a second pulldown select

creating a pulldown entry on the fly
My first ROR app is coming along nicely. This is definately a agile env.
One of my last issues before inhouse deployment is creating pulldown
entries on the fly.
In particular, I''m writing a job tracking app for my company. We
mostly do jobs for the same customers (law firms), so I have a pull
down of law firms which is populated from a law_firms table. i.e
assume only 2 tables for

Trying to create pulldown select menu for US State form fiel
I noticed there is a country_select. Is there anything like
us_state_select maybe?
More specifically - I''m wondering if I manually have to populate an
array with all the U.S. state abbreviations so users can select which
state they live in while entering their mailing address.

World of Warcraft on Linux Mint or Ubuntu, a doubt
Hi everyone
I used to have Linux Mint 8 Helena and World of Warcraft patch 3.2.x, like less than a year ago
I play on private servers (just because there's no way of payment for blizzard servers from Peru), and i had a bad experience with wine 1.0 (or 1.1.33, i can't remember - the thing is that wine 1.2 wasn't released)
My FPS were like 19-20 when in windows it goes at 60-65, in

Trying to run DDO on Ubuntu 10.10
Hello all. I have been searching forums, reading how-tos, and googling constantly for the last week but have yet to find a solution to, or even the cause of my problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok the problem,
Everything installs and runs great. But after about 2-5 minutes of gameplay the screen freezes and goes B&W. Sound continues like the game is still running. Once it froze and

Configuring printers in CentOS 5
Could someone please explain to me how to best configure printers in CentOS 5?
I've been trying to configure a new printer, which is served by a Mac Mini:
If I open a web browser at localhost:631, or "system-configure-printers" and I configure
the new printer as an IPP printer, it winds up in a list of "Remote printers", and once it
winds up there I can't seem to

WoW - Ubuntu 10.10 - ATI HD5770
Hello all,
I'm running WoW on Ubuntu 10.10 with the latest wine version as well as latest fglrx drivers.
WoW runs quite well except that under the video settings, I can't turn the custom graphics settings to anything else than low.
The reason in wow is: "Requires a shader model 3 capable graphics card"
My card is an ATI HD5770 so I know it supports SM3.
What am I supposed to

having trouble start Black Ops on Ubuntu 10.10
Hey all, I am fairly new to Ubuntu and Wine, so please excuse the noob questions.
I've been having trouble getting Black Ops to run on Wine. I can start it up, get to the main menu (for both multiplayer and singleplayer), and even view the loading screen for a map, but once it is about to start up, I get a message that says that DirectX has had an unrecoverable error, see the README for

NONEXISTENT status code
I'm going to take exception to the way dovecot (1.2.8) is returning
the NONEXISTENT response code in certain cases. For example, these
transactions:
c: 1 EXAMINE "foo"
S: 1 NO [NONEXISTENT] Mailbox doesn't exist: foo
C: 2 STATUS "foo" (MESSAGES)
S: 2 NO [NONEXISTENT] Mailbox doesn't exist: foo
...don't appear to be the proper usage of NONEXISTENT.

NONEXISTENT handling
As of 2.0.12, looks like NONEXISTENT response code isn't working
properly again. Previously brought up issues relating to this here:
http://markmail.org/message/jxbgdfv26pws66og
With a nonexistent mailbox "FOO", I see this:
1 DELETE "FOO"
1 NO Mailbox doesn't exist: FOO
// Should be: 1 NO [NONEXISTENT] Mailbox doesn't exist: FOO
2 RENAME "FOO"
