Sage Accounts Performance Issues (Solved)
I've been struggling for several days with an issue to which I found a
number of references, but few solutions, so wanted to put my experience
"out there", in the hope that others may find it useful at some time.
A client company network of 10 WinXP Pro PCs and CentOS 4 server (a
Fujitsu RX300x2) running Samba was last week replaced with 10 Win7 Pro
PCs and a CentOS5 server

Samba 3 Windows 7 Temporary Profile on 2nd Login
Hi,
I'm bashing my head against a brick wall against a strange Win7 domain
login issue.
We have a Samba 3 CentOS server which for some months has been a problem
free PDC for a network of about 15 Win7Pro64 clients in a school.
Recently, for some reason, the following situation has now arisen:
* After client PC reboot, domain login is fine.
* After logging out of windows, any attempt to

Win7 to Samba Domain Printing Strangeness
Hi,
I have a server which until recently was serving a domain of about 20 XP
PCs in a school. Over the summer I updated Samba to 3.5.4-0.70, and
replaced the desktops with new machines which are running Win7 Pro 64 bit
SP1.
This being a school, I have a system of mandatory group profiles set up,
and all of the pupil groups curently have copies of the same mandatory
profile (generated via the

Sending a postfix email to my domain.
Hi,
I have setup postfix on my server (for my blog to send out emails) however I
host my email on google apps. I want my server to be able to send emails
towards my GoogleApps account but it's sending it to the user within the
system (I know this is normal but I need it to be a bit different).
Any Help
Thanks
James

yes, it's already pushed to drm-misc-fixed, which then will go into
the current devel cycle. I just don't know when it's the next time it
will be pushed upwards, but it

How serious are we about not wanting to see...
It's a trademark issue. CentOS is not Red Hat, so they can't use Red
Hat's trademarks. Nothing more, nothing less.

[Bug 11523] New: Request: Add option to unlink hard links when permissions change

Personally, I am agnostic. I've just read thru Centos documentation that
there is a big effort to remove all upstream personalities from Centos.
Personally, I don't see why RH is doing this. I would think that it
undermines RH. But I'm still new/old to all of this. It used to be the big
argument was between Unix from Berkeley(4.? I think) and SysIII/V. Always
always battles for turf.

Multiple errors from rsync - later 'soft' error raised rather than earlier 'hard' error.
Peter,
I was about to post the below to the rsync mailing list, but wondered whether your code which captures rsync output may have allowed rsync to continue past what I think would normally be a fatal error?
Thanks
Rob.
P.S. Should I put the final backups of the old pearcey /home back into their correct slots - 5 backups were recycled, but nothing was added to them? The .Snapshots area is

smoothScatter function question and adding a legend
Hello,
I have a few questions, regarding the smoothScatter function.
I have a scatter plot with more than 500,000 data points for
two samples. So, I am wanting to display the density in colors
to convince people that my good correlation coefficient is not
due to an "influential point effect" and plus, I also want to make
my scatter plot look pretty. Anyway ...
I have been able to

rsync - detecting change/no-change without an itemised list
rsync watchers,
I've been using rsync version 3.1.1+, and do like the improved --stats
output: e.g.
Number of files: 2480403 (reg: 2034290, dir: 233487, link: 212174, special: 452)
Number of created files: 356 (reg: 6, dir: 3, link: 347)
Number of regular files transferred: 16
...
- thanks to the developers.
However, I want to be able to look at the --stats output and make a
decision
