Suggestions for Theora
Hi, I have some suggestions for Theora:1) Theora should have a feature like adobe flash does that enables direct end user to end user peering which decreases a server's bandwidth usage and cost. Read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Time_Media_Flow_Protocol Theora should go one step further and support file sharing. 2) Theora should have a plugin for the safari web browser that runs

Plotting groupedData objects
I am trying to create a plot similar to Figure 3.2 in Bates and Pinheiro. I have repeated measurements on about 80 subjects from 2 treatment groups. I would like to have the panels for the two treatment groups in separate groups and within those groups have the panels ordered on maximum value (as is the default). I am ok with getting plots similar to Figs 3.1 and 3.2, but can't see how to

Hunting for DIDs in Kenya/Nigeria
Don't know if anyone's got experiences on this they'd be able to share... I'm trying to obtain numbers for Kenya/Nigeria, but I'm struggling to find a company selling them. There's one for Nigeria listed on didx.com, but $22/month seems a little steep. Has anyone had any luck getting DIDs for countries in Africa, and are there any companies out there selling them? Thanks

My game has started freezing up when using Wine.
I downloaded Wine 1.2 a few days ago so that I could play a game called Wonderland Online. It worked fine for one day. The 2nd day my update manager asked to install updates and since installing them I can't play my game. I run Ubuntu 10.10. As I stated I installed Wine 1.2 and it worked fine with Wonderland Online that first day. (www.wl.igg.com is the website for the game that I play. I

Subsets without NA
Is there a way of removing all rows with missing values from a data frame? I usually use subset(x, var1!="NA") and repeat for each variable. It would be nice to be able to do it in one fell swoop. Also, surprisingly, it doesn't always work. Sometimes I'm left with an empty set even though not all rows have missing values for the variable. Cheers, mikkel Mikkel Grum,

Screenshots - how to?
Hi Ok this might sound a bit dumb but I wanted to submit a screenshot for World In Conflict. This runs quite well in DX9.0c mode in WINE 1.3.5. 8) Uhmm anyway the problem is visual artefacts in the screenshots that are not present in the game (blocky colour banding, etc.). I presume it's just the keyboard printscreen button frame capture app. is catching partly drawn OpenGL frames. So how

Try with CTRL-ALT-F2 (go to the console) and CTRL-ALT-F1 (go back to the X-Window). Samba PDC, LDAP and permissions
Hi all, I have a Samba PDC running on OpenSuSe 10 with LDAP as the backend and am running Mandriva 2006 as a member server with a few shares for users. The PDC seems OK and I've added the member using the instructions in the Samba example documents and I'm at the following point: OpenLDAP is running on the PDC itself. I can login to Linux as any LDAP user account suggesting that NSS

At the cost of breaking the thread I'm going to change your subject and replace 'Principle' by 'Principal'. I just can't stand it any longer... OK, here is how I would solve your other problems. First put > wh <- c("USA", "New Zealand", "Dominican Republic", "Western Samoa", "Cook Islands") > ind
