force samba4 DC not to add all interfaces IP's to DNS?

Therefore clients which ask the DNS for AD-DNS records often get the IP of a an interface as answer, which is not reachable. This slows down things like login etc. I removed the DNS entries of the

samba with acl support as member auf a samba controlled domain?
Hi I am running a Samba PDC and a Samba member server in his domain. The member server acts as a file server with unix acl's working. Is it possible to get these acl's working under samba to? The docs seem to say, that acl's are only possible if samba is a memberserver in an NT-Domain using winbind. In my case the PDC acts as a LDAP Server and the Member server is gets the unix

how to migrate printers from 2.2.8a to 3.0.20
Hi, I am trying to upgrade a printserver from 2.2.8a to 3.0.20. Is there a way to do so without reinstalling and configuring all the drivers? Can I just copy the printing related tdb files and driver files or do I have to regenerate driver information (rpcclient) or do I have to reinstall the drivers? Greetings Hansj?rg

Printer properties dialog looks and behaves different if driver is installed on samba or on XP
Hi I am using a HP LJ 4350 on samba 3.0.28 with cups as backend. We tried the HP PCL6 driver (not CUPS PS drivers), because it offers the possibility to print for example the first page on a different sheet from a different tray. This works fine, if a installe the driver on windows XP. If I install the driver on a samba server, a testpage shows no difference concerning driver files. But if i

I am not sure, if this may be related. We had SAMBA-BIND-DNS problems after an upgrade from CentOS-7.4 to CentOS-7.5 We were running a self compiled samba 4.7 During the Upgrade from Centos-7.4 ->
