IPv6 subnet routing
I've been trying out IPv6 networking with tinc and noticed that it will not
route smaller segments than /48
If I try to run ip -6 route add aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dddd::/64 dev tun0 I get
network unreachable
However if I run ip -6 route add aaaa:bbbb:cccc::/48 dev tun0 it works fine
Is this is a limitation in tinc or the kernel network stack itself?

how to not match partial names
Dear friends,
How do I stop partial matching of list names?
e.g.,
x <- list(AAAA="aaaaa", BBBBB="bbbbb")
is.null(x$A) #returns FALSE even though there is no element A.
if(is.null(x$A)) {result <- x$BBBB} else {result <- x$A}
result #is aaaa even though there is no x$A element
x <- list(CCCC="aaaaa", BBBBB="bbbbb")
if(is.null(x$A))

remove newlines / perl /concise example
Thanks for the previous tips and suggestions. Here's a more concise
example:
Input file:
<aaaa>
<bbbb>
<cccc>
<dddd>
I want everything on one line, i.e., remove all newlines. Like so:
<aaaa><bbbb><cccc><dddd>
Simple perl code:
#!/usr/bin/env perl
# Remove newlines from a file in two ways:
# (1) Just "chomp" them;
# (2) Replace

drs showrepl - Failed to bind to UUID - Undetermined error
Hi Guys,
I have now updated to 4.5.0 - thank you to all the team for your efforts on
this :)
I was excited to read in the release notes that there were many replication
improvements, and I have run 'samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs --fix' on all
my DCs; there were many, many replPropertyMetaData and other errors which
have now been found and fixed - thanks!
However, I think something

smb/cifs share network speed testing
Is there any piece of software that I can use to run between a client
and a linux or windows server with a smb/cifs share that will test
network speed, latency, sustained read/writes, multiple file create,
read, write, close, etc.. etc.. over X period time?
I'm testing a Centos server with samba and Windows 2k3/8 servers on the
other end of a T1 connection and while I know the T1 bandwidth

Using UUID in a Migration
Has anyone ever used UUID in a migration?
I thought I could set the default value of a field to be UUID but that
only sets the value the string instead of executing the function to
create a new unique identifier.

Problem with Renaming R object
Hi,
I have a problem in renaming R object and saving them within a loop. For ex:
for (i in 1:length(all_files))
{
uncov_GR <- "variable created in loop"
filename <- paste0(sample_name[[i]],"_uncov", ".Rdata"))
save(uncov_GR,file=filename)
}
Within the above short code (out of a long program), I want to

You can use any of LLVM's optimizing transformations in a JIT context.

[LLVMdev] runtime optimizations in LLVM
Hello,
(im new to LLVM , so pl excuse if this is a naive q).
Can someone provide info on what runtime
optimizations are done in LLVM? do you have something
along lines of JVM's hotspot feature?
How efficient is the optimized code vis-a-vis native
code?
thanks
