Issue providing seamless migrtion (3.0.24 to 3.5.6) - sambaNTPassword mystery
Hello everyone, I am operating a migration of samba from 3.0.24 (mysql passdb backend) to 3.5.6 (openldap passdb), samba working as a domain controller (PDC) and file share. The main challenge is to provide a seamless migration for users. For this new version, I am using smbldap-tools 0.9.6, nss_ldap, openldap 2.4. Everything run on FreeBSD 8.2. To get used to samba, I have managed to make

Migration failing (xen 3.0.3 on RHEL 5) with "not a valid guest state file: pfn count read"
Hi all, I''m having some problem migrating a simple domU between two hosts. Short question: xm migrate (live or not) fails even though either host is capable of running the VM. Error seems to be: "not a valid guest state file: pfn count read" Long question: I have two boxes (devvmdevvmhost1 and devvmhost2) running xen 3.0.3 (RHEL 5), they are attached to a Dell MD3000 unit

MySQL stale socket
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have a server with a faulty power supply that resets the server every 4/5 hours. While I wait for the supplier to change the PS, I am facing an issue with MySQL. When the system comes back on, mysqld script starts the daemon, but the connections via /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock don't work because MySQL doesn't delete and recreate the stale

RPID on called party
Hello, Did anyone manage to force asterisk to put Remote-party-ID attribute on the SIP outgoing call? I.e. When A calls B, I want that A gets a name of B displayed on his phone. Note that name of A gets displayed on the B's phone fine, but this is not what I want. This works with Cisco Call manager fine - the RPID is sent as a part of the response to the SIP INVITE this way: SIP/2.0 180

Win7 client, Samba PDC
I'm trying to set up Samba as a PDC for some Win7 clients, and could use some help. I can successfully join the domain, with the message "Changing the primary domain DNS name of this computer to "" failed.", but I am still told that it was successful. However, when I try to log in, I am told "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain

Dear all Suppose I have teeth like data similar like x <- 1:200 y <- 0.03*x[1:100]+rnorm(100, mean=.001, sd=.03) z <- 3-rep(seq(1,100,10),each=10)*.03+rnorm(100,mean=.001, sd=.03) plot(x,c(y,z)) and I want to have a gradient estimations for some values from increasing part of data like y.agg <- aggregate(diff(c(y,z)), list(rep(seq(1,200,10),each=10)[1:199]), mean) y.agg[1:10,]

A couple more minor questions about OCFS and RHEL3
Oracle appears to have Wim chained in the basement, forced to answer mailing list questions at all hours. I do appreciate it. Our cluster has been stable since we installed RAC, but a few minor issues have me concerned. First, our storage array seems to maintain continuous low-level activity even when the database is shut down. The CPUs spend a modest amount of time in iowait state while this

I can't add a machine to the workgroup using the admin account (administrator). I

Troubles getting samba4 working (from samba 3)
Our current environment is Samba 3 with an LDAP backend. I want to move to Samba 4 with an AD backend. We already have the AD servers in place and Samba 3 servers are using AD absolutely perfectly. The last remaining piece is to move Samba 3->4. My existing Samba 3 configuration looks like this: [global] server string = 1220 Boothost Server netbios name = BOOTHOST-1220
