FAM linking error on Irix
Hi all,
I am compiling Samba 3.5.8 on Irix 6.5.28 using gcc 3.4.6 .
Towards the end the linking phase stops with the following error:

Installation of R-3.0.2 failed Fortran error
Dear all,
I have a big problem to compile R-3.0.2 on our SUSE SLES 11 Server.
Make breaks up with fortran errors and so the installation isn't
successful
This is a part from the make run output.:

Power of t-test in R vs. S-PLUS
Dear all,
I found a discrepancy while performing a power calculation for a two sample
t-test in R and S-PLUS, respectively.
For given values of sample number (5 each), sd (0.2) , significance level
(0.01), and a desired power (80%) I looked for the difference in means.
These values differ: 0.5488882 in R and 0.4322771 in S-PLUS (see dump
below).
Did I overlook any detail or confuse some

[R-1.4.0] minimum spanning tree of large ontology
Dear all,
I have an ontology which I would like to load in R to then compute the
minimum distance between elements.
Since this ontology is not only DAG, the problem is non trivial and
therefore decided to use R with the powerful e1071
library (allShortestPaths) to do that. That method requires to provide a
distance matrix between the
various objects. My ontology contains 32768 objects and

FAM support?
Hi,
Is there any planned support for FAM http://oss.sgi.com/projects/fam/ in
dovecot?
One of my favourite features of Courier IMAP server is that it alerts my
email client through IMAP when email has arrived.

Problems with samba and fam
Hi,
I'm having some odd problems with samba in combination with fam. On my linux
system I have mounted some partitions that are shared by a Win2k machine on
my LAN. With any GUI filemanager using fam I can create files and
directories, but I can't delete directories, only files. If I try to delete a
directory, it just doesn't work. If I try to delete a directory containing
files,

fam inconsistent in noticing changes
I'm running Samba-3.0.23d on CentOS4.4 servers.
We have a process where people can upload files (from WinXP) to a
directory over Samba, and then a Unix cronjob picks those files up,
moves them to another directory (outside of Samba) and does things to them.
The problem is that when the file moves occur, WinXP doesn't show the
files have disappeared. Even days later the files show up as

[lld][ELF] Addends adjustment for relocatable object
Initial issue is related to R_MIPS_GPREL16/32 relocations. When we
calculate such relocations we need to know _gp symbol's value. This
value might come from different sources. Usually we setup it using
constant offset from the .got section. Also it might be defined by a
linker script. And in rare but possible case it comes from .reginfo /
.MIPS.options sections.
Got example, GNU bfd linker

Re: Information needed regarding the libvirt version libvirt-1.0.6-1
Hi Daniel,
Thanks a lot for providing us your pointers. From the domain.xml(attached
in my previous mail) which we have used for defining virtual guest i can
see below lines
<emulator>/usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64</emulator>
We were using same domain.xml in eralier libvirt version and the execution
of cpu_stats command was successful. Now if we have to get

[Bridge] Does ebtables support --arp-opcode on vlan's?
Hello,
I have an issue with ebtables --arp-opcode and vlan support on the bridge.
Ebtables support --arp-opcode witch is used for arp manipulation.

--arpreply-mac 10:11:12:13:14:15 --arpreply-target ACCEPT -i eth1
But it does not work when Ethernet frame comes tag with vlan pid. Can i
overcome this limitation?

[OCaml] Reset of the libvirt-ocaml repository
Hi libvirt developers and users,
TL;DR: you need to clone again the libvirt-ocaml repository, if you had
one already
Due to the way the repository was converted from another SCM in the
past, some of the metadata of older commits was broken, and this made
the repository unusable with more strict git configurations (e.g. as
used on GitHub). You can read more details about this in

SAMBA install on IRIX 6.5
I am having problems with Samba on IRIX 6.5 authenticating via Active
Directory. Installing the tardist of 3.0.21c did not give me
kerberos/ldap/adc capabilities even though Kerberos and LDAP were
prereq's. With OpenLDAP and Kerberos5 installed, my configure fails. I
am trying this:
./configure --libdir=/usr/lib --includedir=/usr/include
--prefix=/usr/samba --with-ldap --with-ads

[lld][ELF] Addends adjustment for relocatable object
You are right. LLD does not have this problem. Initially I bumped into
the MIPS specific bug related to GP relative relocations calculation.
I tried to make reproduction script as general as possible and
mistakenly make it too general. So now with your help I realized that
the problem solely affects MIPS.
