Problem since upgrade to 4.5.1
Just a though as I was passing in the neighbourhood: does your Terminal Server have related SPN (ServicePrincipalName) created on computer objects? servicePrincipalName: HOST/W7AD-02 servicePrincipalName: HOST/W7AD-02.ad.domain.tld servicePrincipalName: TERMSRV/W7AD-02.ad.domain.tld servicePrincipalName: TERMSRV/W7AD-02 HOST/<hostname> should exist on all computers, that's just to be

Win2K3 Server, in Terminal Session,
I have almost the same setup (NT4 domain, with W2K3 Terminal Server).... I am using Suse 9.2, Samba 3.0.21b, with winbindd on a generic x86 server. No special package configurations...just the rpms from samba for Suse. I do have the same problems. -- I have home directories mapped for users. When I log into the Term Server with RDP my home directory on my Samba box comes up just fine.. What

Problem since upgrade to 4.5.1
Since upgrading our DCs to Sernet Samba v4.5.1 we are experiencing problems using Remote Desktop from Windows boxes. The rather useless and completely misleading error message states: "The connection cannot be completed because the remote computer that was reached is not the one you specified. This could be caused by an outdated entry in the DNS cache. Try using the IP address of the

Failed to modify SPNs
Hello, I've got some log entries like these on our DCs: Failed to modify SPNs on CN=db1,CN=Computers,DC=mydom,DC=lan: acl: spn validation failed for spn[TERMSRV/DB1.MYDOM] uac[0x1000] account[db1$] hostname[(null)] nbname[mydom] ntds[(null)] forest[mydom.lan] domain[mydom.lan] At first I thought it was about missing SPN entries, but adding these did not resolve the problem: # samba-tool

machine trusts connecting to shares
Hi All, I am running 3.4.7 on Ubuntu Lucid. I setup ldap auth in PAM and let that handle all the authentication with the 2003 AD Server (where the users groups, ect are stored). It works great, but one little issue is driving me nuts. On some users (can't figure out the difference) when they log into their machine, I see in the Samba logs that the machine_name_ is trying to connect

Authentication and trusted domains
Hi there, This is most likely something very basic which I'm not seeing right now. I have a Samba-server, which is running in security = domain, and it's a member of that domain (DOMAINA). The domain is a Win2003 domain. That domain has established a trust with another domain (DOMAINB). There's a Windows terminal server TERMSRV which is a member of DOMAINA, but a user from DOMAINB

allow samba domain group RDP access
I want to allow RDP connections to a Win2008 server which is joined to a samba domain. I've added a samba group that my user is a part of to the Remote Desktop Users members, but it doesnt seem to work. Still says to log on to this computer you must be granted the allow log on through terminal services right. If i specifically add the samba user to the Remote Desktop Users group i get
