SMB Signature verification failed when establish trust with win2003 domain
I have a samba PDC (using samba 3.0.24). When I try to establish trust with a win2003 domain, I got signing error, see the log below. Trust with NT domain and win2000 domain works. Any help are appreciated. joining samba 3.0.25b on aix to a native w2k domain
Hi, I've compiled Samba 3.0.25b on an AIX 5.2 machine without any hassle (also without ADS / Kerberos Support!) but getting it to join our AD domain is a true PITA. The AIX machine is called NLXDRZ05, the domain D-REIZEN.INTRA (could also be D-REIZEN, I'm a Unix guy, not an NT guy and I usually leave that stuff to the people that know what they're doing) I've had a machine

Windows 7 adding printer
Hello Team, I am unable to add/upload Windows 7 64 bit print driver from Windows 7 64 bit laptop. It is giving me following error. The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based system. Is there any work around ? Thanks & Regards, Arun Sasi Venmalassery

\PIPE\NETLOGON (NT_STATUS_DOMAIN_CONTROLLER_NOT_FOUND)
Help, wbinfo -t fails with the error in subject, and getting sids of groups that aren't BUILTIN fail. Everything else seems to work. Note: I am not converting my kerberos tickets to krb4, is this necessary? (It used to work without it..but now it seems not to work.) I get no errors from kinit. all other wbinfo requests succeed with the exception of looking up the SIDS of groups that

Erratic / unstable PDC
Greetings all, I have a problem with my Samba server seeming to hang for 10 seconds every 5 minutes or so. Client machines also become sluggish across the entire network during this period. It does not seem to affect file transfers that are in progress. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Regression: The 'net' command is now failing to login (UNKNOWN ENUM VALUE 1003?)
This spnego stuff makes me think about "client ldap sasl wrapping = sign" to be added in some cases. There are threads related to that posted recently. Disabling spnego is, if I'm not mistaken, disabling Kerberos. Disabling Kerberos should not be what you really want with AD : ) 2016-05-26 13:23 GMT+02:00 pisymbol . <pisymbol at gmail.com>: > On Wed, May 25, 2016 at 2:38

Call timed out: server did not respond...
Hello All, I don't know how, but I managed to get my no logon server found error to go away, but now I am experiencing another problem. When I run "net join ads -d 3" I get the following error message. I know it's authenticating, because if I enter an incorrect password it says "The username or password was not correct." So it's accessing the correct server, but

'net ads join' Segmentation fault for one ADS tree but not another?!
The cmd 'net ads join -U username' dies with 'Segmentation fault' for our PROD ADS environment, however works fine in our DEV ADS environment! The only [Linux] configuration change between the two environments is update SAMBA and Kerberos config to read 'ADS' vs 'ADSDEV' and change the domain controller FQDN. The /var/kerberos/krb5kdc directory, samba/secrets.tdb

Samba 3.0.2x Wbinfo -t ShowslJoined, but -u and -g fail to retrieve anything
Folks, I'm working on troubleshooting an installation where Samba 3.0.2x is joined to the domain. If I issue the command "wbinfo -t" it shows the secret is correct. If issues "wbinfo -u" or "wbinfo -g" they give an error about being unable to retrieve any users or groups. Just to test whether I could authenticate against the domain, I tried using ntlm_auth

Performance and disconnect troubles on winbind after samba upgrade
Hello, We have a RHEL4 x64 running for 3 years, which is a samba member server integrated with a AD domain without any problems (we was using samba-3.0.10-1.4E.6). Last Saturday we performed an entire server update, applying all RHN available patches. Everything is running fine, except for winbind service which has a strange behavior: often we are receiving some errors at logs, and the

SMB Signature verification failed on incoming packet!
I am running Samba 3.0.9/KRB5 1.4 on Centos 3.4 on x86 with security = ADS in a Win2k3 domain. I have successfully used kinit to authenticate, joined the domain, and wbinfo -g/-u/-t return the expected results. However, when I try and access the samba shares from a Win2k3 box, it fails telling me I don't have permissions to access the share. Needless to say I am thoroughly perplexed. I have
