The best and the easiest way. Just use OpenVpn. No need for a second DC if all remote pcs start the opnvpn client on startup. On the DC side run the OpenVpn -Server or use "Zero-Shell". Hi Daniel,  In that example that I wrote, I didn't create users yet, because I did public share only, but windows tell that I don't have permission. Do I need to create groups and users to that situation too? But when I add private share, I create local users (add user) and samba user, but when I type user and password Samba answer that I don't have permission too.I think the problem

Hopefully a quick question. My Windows AD administrator is moving to Windows 2008R and is about to switch off the last Windows 2003 domain controller. He also wants to switch off the compatible WINS and NETBIOS off as well. Does samba 3 work in this environment or do I need to tell him to keep then working?
