DNS - block ip of second nic
Hi,
i have a samba 4.0 server with bind DNS. I has two configured interfaces

Some smbd-processes uses 99% CPU and push load to 10
Hi all
I have a samba 3.0.2a PDC with OpenLDAP running since some month.
Approximatly once in 2 weeks there is a problem with one smbd-child
process which eats up all cpu-resources. I have to kill (-2) it by hand
after that all works normal. I can't figure out why.
Today i had the chance to "strace" this process since all "clients" go
for a birthday party. Now i sit here

WITHOUT encasing the whole body of the module in an if statement.

model non-nested random effects in nlme library
Hello all,
In lme4 if you want to model two non-nested random effects you code it like
this:
mod1 <- lmer(y~x + (1|randomvar1) + (1|randomvar2))
How would you go about to model something similar in nlme?
In my database I have two variables for which I have repeated measures, lets
call them "individual" and "year".
But none of the "individuals" were measured in

civil emergency comms: Asterisk + HAM
The disaster in the Gulf coast and the less than optimal initial
response suggests to me that citizens must shoulder more responsibility
for emergency management. Communications loss must have played a large
role in the failures that occurred. I can't help but wonder if there
are fewer ham radio operators today and that if there were more, maybe
they could make a difference in future

Load Balancing/NAT
Hey, I''m trying to set up a Gentoo box to replace an aging BSD box here.
The BSD box is running packet filter and I have it set up to take all
data and route it to one of six sattelites. I have come up with the
following config, but unfortunately I have no real way to test it short
of switching the satellites over to the new system and prayer.
The setup is:

Dear R- users and Helpers:
I downloaded the package from www.stat.lsa.umich.edu/~faraway/book and
installed it from local zip file.
It looked fine. But when I input
library(faraway)
it showed " Error in library(faraway) : 'faraway' is not a valid package

What I used is R 2.0.0 version now.
What should I do?
Thank you very much.
