Word 97 and permission problems
Question for Everyone, We are running 1.9.18p8 on hpux 10.20. This particular machine has a directory called docommon that is writable by anyone. The problem we are having is that whenever someone opens a file with word 97, then saves it, they own the file and the permissions are -rw-r--r--. Thus, no one else can open the file. How can we make the files keep the -rw-rw-rw setting? Please

using Linux as a front-end controller for a SAN?
Hi all, I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. Has anyone tried, or have experience with, setting up a Linux server to manage a few NAS devices and thus make them all visible to the clients as one large SAN? Basically, I'm thinking it would be a good idea to combine the current NAS's we have into one large system (typically a SAN?) and then let the clients all connect to one

libvirt and shared storage SAN Fiber Channel
Hi, I'm looking information about using libvirt with san (fiber channel) based storage and googling for a while i don't see anything about it. I send this email in order to get advices about libvirt and shared storage We use here, for 3 years now, 8 linux centos server connected to an hitachi FC SAN (multipath devices). Each server run Xen dom0 and use SAN LUNs to store Virtual machine

Sanlock disk leases on drbd/gfs2 volume
Hi all, I have a 2 node cluster that consists of the following: * 1 drbd/gfs2 partition that holds VM images and XML * Sanlock configured with the disk lease directory on the same drbd/gfs partition Everything is working well, aside from one small issue I ran into. When testing fencing, on one particular test GFS began replaying the journal for the remaining node, and in the middle of it

GFS/GFS2 on CentOS
Hi all, If you have had experience hosting GFS/GFS2 on CentOS machines could you share you general impression on it? Was it realiable? Fast? Any issues or concerns? Also, how feasible is it to start it on just one machine and then grow it out if necessary? Thanks. Boris.

GFS2 hangs after one node going down
Hi guys, my goal is to create a reliable virtualization environment using CentOS 6.4 and KVM, I've three nodes and a clustered GFS2. The enviroment is up and working, but I'm worry for the reliability, if I turn the network interface down on one node to simulate a crash (for example on the node "node6.blade"): 1) GFS2 hangs (processes go in D state) until node6.blade get

Centos 5.2 ,5.3 and GFS2
Hello, I will create a Xen cluster and using GFS2 (with conga, ...) to create a new Xen cluster. I know that GFS2 is prod ready since RHEL 5.3. Do you know whent Centos 5.3 will be ready ? Can I install my GFS2 FS with centos 5.2 and then "simply" upgrade to 5.3 without reinstallation ? Tx
