Hi all, I just setup a Samba 3.3.14, with an ldap back-end. I migrated the ldap back end and samba shares from my old samba server. I've found when adding a machine (WinXP) to the domain, I get the following error on XP: The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "Blah.com": A device attached to the system is not functioning. in my /var/log/messages I have: Dec

HFSC and that ATM overhead problem (Another VOIP QoS post. Ahhhh)
G''Day I would like to be able to use my VOIP telephone over a saturated ADSL link whilst enjoying optimum audio quality and utilising all of the bandwidth I pay for. It is about this situation that I write. HFSC appears to be the queueing discipline of choice for VOIP. In order for this to work, though, do I have to account for the ATM overhead in the small VOIP packets by defining my

MY icecast server started doing the same exact thing today out of the blue! it looks as if hundreds of sources try to connect or something. but why would we both have the same problem at the same time after months of it working fine? paul On Thu, 3 Jan 2002, Roy Harvey wrote: > Icecast has been working flawlessly for months serving hundreds of users a >

CentOS 7, NSF, "feature"
In the last month, we've discovered a new, ahhhh, "feature" in the version of the version of NFS with CentOS 7: on startup, if it cannot resolve a given host, it dies. It does not continue on up, with all the other hosts it's exporting to, and just log a message. Is there a workaround, or a configuration, to change this "fail on unresolved host" behaviour? mark

Then I tried this tutorial - http://rewrite.rickbradley.com/articles/2006/02/06/rjs-templates Similarly, it works fine on Firefox... but with Safari the list is not

Installing from source (git, hg) on a fresh debian box
Oye 3 days on this now, my head hurts. I have spent what seems like 40 hours in the last 3 or 4 days reading, and I realize xen is in the middle of this transition of getting into mainline kernel, issues with dom0 etc etc. Ok, so i have come across a few howtos/tutorials on installing xen dom0 kernel, using git to download a patched? kernel tree, and getting xen source from mercurial. Below is my

I have a couple different USB devices, a Ralink based wifi adaptor and a motorola V3 phone. There are drivers for both that I have, and work nativly on windows. On native windows, autodetect devices takes
