ocfs2 problem on ctdb cluster
Ubuntu 14.04, drbd
Hi
On a drbd Primary node, when attempting to mount our cluster partition:
sudo mount -t ocfs2 /dev/drbd1 /cluster
we get:
mount.ocfs2: Unable to access cluster service while trying to join the
group
We then call:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure ocfs2-tools
Setting cluster stack "o2cb": OK
Starting O2CB cluster ocfs2: OK
And all is well:

samba4 + drbd + ctdb + failover
Hi
We've got drbd going between 2 nodes:)
ATM there is un-partitioned space on each node but (we think) they are
syncing OK. It looks as though it has synced the whole partition (2GB)
from the primary node 1 to the other node:

CTDB and PDC Role
Hi, I'm looking to install a new 2-node Samba3 cluster. The cluster
will be responsible for Domain Management and file/printer serving.
How does the PDC/BDC roles work with CTDB enabled?, does the cluster
appear as just one machine (and PDC)?.
In the past I've configured PDC/BDC pairs with OpenLDAP as backend and
DRBD for active/passive file serving. Now it sounds nice to have

Winbind issues with CTDB
I am attempting to configure a Samba cluster using DRBD and CTDB. I am
currently having some issues with winbind. Everytime I start winbind or
attempt to join my server to the domain the machine stalls and the ctdb
error log is filled with the following:

UID syncing issues with CTDB
I have been working on a CTDB cluster on and off for a while now. I had it
working great for a while. THen I decide dthat I wanted to change the
configuration of my replicated volumes. I changed my DRBD configuration to
match my desired configuration. Now I can get the CTDB to work quite right.
I am able to join the cluster to the domain without issues. I can also list

samba file server with heartbeat and drbd
Hello,
While working on heartbeat/pacemaker for a web service stored on drbd, I've
thought what I've learnt could also be applied to samba in order to build a
fault tolerant file server in our domain.
While digging samba's doc, I've found that CTDB could also fulfill the need
and is maybe better suited as it's samba-related.
But on the other hand, I'd appreciate to begin

CTDB: some problems about disconnecting the private network of ctdb leader nodes
My ctdb version is 4.17.7
Hello, everyone.
My ctdb cluster configuration is correct and the cluster is healthy before operation.
My cluster has three nodes, namely host-192-168-34-164, host-192-168-34-165, and host-192-168-34-166. And the node host-192-168-34-164 is the leader before operation.
I conducted network oscillation testing on node host-192-168-34-164?I down the interface of private

Nodes in CTDB Cluster don't release recovery lock
Hello all,
First of all, apologies if this isn't the right location for this question,
I couldn't find a CTDB specific mailing list or IRC so I figured the
general one would be appropriate. Please let me know if this question is
better placed elsewhere.
I'm trying to test clustered samba and have a two node CTDB setup

add a second file server for HA
4.1.6 dual AD DC domain with a single 4.1.6 file server (fs)
Hi
We'd like to add another fail-over fs to our domain. Due to all the
conflicting (old?) documentation out there we would like to hear from
any user here who has implemented this _recently_. By implemented we
mean actually done it and are using it themselves. So,
1. is it doable?
2. could anyone list the acronyms we must use?

about samba failover
Hi all,
As many of us, I'm trying to find a way to have a failover solution for
a Samba domain.
The actual choice has been (because of hardware cost) to have only 1
physical xen-based server (ubuntu 14.04) that do (dom0) :
- DHCP server (LAN)
- NTP server
- firewall
- proxy
- DNS server
Then 4 VMs running for:
- Samba Domain controller
- Samba Domain member (file server)
- Apache2 server

CTDB node stucks in " ctdb-eventd[13184]: 50.samba: samba not listening on TCP port 445"
Hi everybody,
I just updated my ctdb node from Samba version
4.9.4-SerNet-Debian-11.stretch to Samba version
4.9.8-SerNet-Debian-13.stretch.
After restarting the sernet-samba-ctdbd service the node doesn't come
back and remains in state "UNHEALTHY".
I can find that in the syslog:
May 16 11:25:40 ctdb-lbn1 ctdb-eventd[13184]: 50.samba: samba not

Updating from 4.1 + CTDB to 4.2/CTDB?
Dear list,
We are about to upgrade to Samba 4.2.9 from sernet-samba 4.1.6 + CTDB 1.0.114.7 running on top of GPFS. My understanding is that as of 4.2, CTDB is now part of Samba. So does this mean we need to uninstall all of our sernet-samba and ctdb RPMs (we are on CentOS 6), then install the sernet-samba 4.2.9 rpms and reconfigure everything for CTDB? For those who have done this, how

CTDB Samba 4.10 example?
Hello,
from SAMBA 4.9/4.10 there was a big change regarding CTDB. Does anyone
have an example configuration, how to configure a CTDB cluster from
version 4.10?
Is there someone who run CTDB with SAMBA 4.10?
Best regards
Micha
