Using wdTable() within R2wd package‏
Hi All, I am trying to use the wdTable() function within R2wd package to send a dataframe to MS-word. However, there is a problem with the tables that are generated by R. For some reason the header row of the table also contains all the data. You can see it by dragging the bottom border of the table down to make the row wider. For example, the data named 'bod' should look like as:

Does anyone know of a way to compare to ROC curves in R using the same method used by roccomp in Stata? -- View this message in context: http://n4.nabble.com/roccomp-tp1748818p1748818.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

elegant way to check if 2 values are in 3 columns?
Dear all, I'm trying to rerun some data linkage exercises in R (they are designed to be done in SPSS, SAS or STATA) The exercise in question is to relabel the column "treat" to "1", if "yearsep" is smaller than 1988 and columns "proc1"-"proc3" contain the values 56.36 or 59.81. My pathetic solution to do this in R currently looks like

Samba 4.0.8 on RHEL 6.2 how to grant permissions via Windows to unix users/groups?
I have built from source Samba 4.0.8 on RHEL 6.2. I want users to be able to change permissions via Windows, but I don't see how to do that for the unix users and groups in the Windows permission screens. When I create a folder, for example, and right-click to get properties and click on the security tab I can see under "Group or user names:" Everyone, kallbac (Unix User\kallbac)

We have bumped into a most odd problem. Server: Debian Etch and their Samba 3.0.24-2 Client: WinXP SP2, MSI v3, all hot fixes The following settings are in place on the server: #!/bin/bash # # initGrps.sh # Map Windows Domain Groups to UNIX groups net groupmap add ntgroup="Domain Admins" unixgroup=domadmin rid=512 type=d net groupmap add ntgroup="Domain Users"

NFS issue
I am currently running K12LTSP on Centos 5, which is working well but without sound on most machines(ok all). So in order to remedy this and the cd-burning issue I have decided to try to install CentOS locally on one machine and then apply the personalizations via NFS. Steps: I editted the /etc/exports to export the /home dir as per the NFS howto and that seemed to work as the user homes were

winbind not resolving group membership changes
I'm using Samba 3.0.33 (RHEL 5) to connect to a Windows 2008 active directory server. I am restricting SSH logins to a particular AD group. The users allowed to login will change frequently, so it's important to me that their group membership is updated when their access to this server is granted or revoked. The problem that I keep running into is that group membership on the

RHEL3 3.0.9 Release & Active Directory Membership
Some preliminary testing indicates that there may be problems in the newly released Red Hat 3.0.9 packages (not samba.org's) in regard to joining an AD as a full member (w/kerberos). This may also affect maintaining current membership in such an environment. If anyone has already upgraded and is experiencing the same or different behavior please let me know. Specifically we are seeing

group membership + acl
During the last two years our fileserver was a VERITAS Samba-2.0.10-VRTS server. This Veritas version of samba contains a special ACL component for the uid <-> sid and gid <-> sid mapping. It also transparently converts Windows access rights to Unix access rights and vice versa. The recent changes in the Windows mbx driver forced us to move to Samba3. The uid mapping works without

Problems with 'ntlm_auth --require-membership-of' using Samba 3.0.6
Hi there, I'm trying to configure Squid to use a windows domain for authentication, and all goes well until I add the "--require-membership-of" option on ntlm_auth. I need to restrict access based on group membership, however ntlm_auth does not seem to be behaving correctly. I'm using Samba 3.0.6 on Debian and I'm using a Windows 2000 (SP4) Domain Controller. I
