I had limited success compiling 3.4.8 and 3.5.4 on Solaris 10 8/07 x86. I downloaded the source code from Samba.org and the dependencies from sunfreeware.com. After some googling and trial and error with the LDDFLAGS, CPPFLAGS and such, it sort of compiled. I need to know how to properly set things up.
